went out for my daily walk and came upon a 87 gn with the plate "quickv6" obviously this intruged me a bit..well the owner comes out and hes a fellow dot worker...only brings it out on nice days such as today. Turns out it runs mid 11's at the track and has a decent amount of work done...of course theres a bunch of c5/c6 vettes, fbodies and such here but always cool to meet someone whos actually interested in going fast :)

 Turbo Buick...

I love those things, they are one of my dream cars. What sucks is I could have owned one (T-Type) but at that time I couldnt afford it, and was still driving around the 79 Granada  Always good to find people who like to go fast, in AWESOME cars.

i dont even think its as much the car as it is someone knowing wtf they are talking about. I hate talking to someone about their camaro and asking them if its a tbi car and them saying no its fuel injected then opening the hood and seeing tbi lol(just happened the other day) or someone talking about like their new iat resistor that got them 20hp or someone saying their car should run 12's but havent even brought it to the track

Yeah, Turbo Buick guys (for the most part) know what they're doing when it comes to performance upgrades. God knows they didn't pick the car up for it's interior styling! But there are exceptions. Lots of guys with turbo buicks are now at the point of just coping the fast guys combo. The true pioneers are the GN's in the single digits that still drive em to the track. Oh, and the ones that are doing that with a stock computer (custom source code).
The TBI guys for the most part (sorry Matt) are clueless when it comes to their EFI. They thought they bought a carbed vehicle but were suprised to see an "electronic carb."
