arent LXs the weaker of the 5.0 fox bodies?

arent LXs the weaker of the 5.0 fox bodies?

no the LX didnt have the ground effects and crap like the GT has...and the LX also had the 4 cyl option.

Well, a select few GT's had the 4cyl as well, except its turbocharged  i forget what years....and then theres the SVO

Thats not bad at all. You can never pass up a cheap 5.0. For 800 bucks you definetly did good. I paid 1200 for my 87 Notchback 5.0 5 speed. Then I bought a used Vortech A Trim overspun to 12 lbs for 700 bucks used off a message board (Kid neede dmoney bad! YES). I beat the piss out of the car. Beat up on everything I could see. Then sold it for 2600 haha. Good times.

no, it doenst run too well right now, it has a MASSIVE vacuum leak and it barely stays running. That and I think one of the valve springs is broken. (honest! its not an excuse!) I'll run ya when I get it all fixed up though 8)

"Off road X pipe, GT40/Cobra intake"

Mine has a catted X pipe, or H-pipe, I don't remember. I've got the Trick Flow intake, but I'd rather have the GT-40 piece. I still have to ask the kid I bought it from if the intake is the street heat or track heat model.

The nice thing about 5.0 stangs is that open up any Summitt, Jegs, etc and they have a section devoted to it (usually a good 6-8 pages)

Too bad I dont fit (almost got one but I couldnt clutch)

The rest of the pages are for chevy's like my 3rd gen :) .
And yes, the LX had the same motor only lighter.

I have a question! Is it a rule, that if you have a 5.0 mustang, then you need weld drag lites on it? I mean, EVERY stang either has stock rims, or draglites.

Not saying anything about your car, good deal for 800 bucks. I always liked notchback LX's for some reason.

Yes, cause the V6 family sedan vs the V8 sports car is a good match up.

It probably would be a decent match up as the car sits right now. I think the kid said he ran a 15.2 with it   . Again, it has one hell of a vacuum leak.

My purchase of my new car has nothing to do with my Camaro. I didnt buy it because my Camaro was down.

Nice deal. Yeah there was a vacuum leak on my buddys LX 5.0 and cause quite a bit of power loss. The car was relatively stock all it had were K&N, 3:73's Aluminum DS, and a King Cobra clutch and we were dippin it to about 13.9x @ 100 on BFG Radial TA's. The car was a factory freak though (pulled harder than hell off the line). One suggestion fix the leak, and toss the 5 speed in there get rid of that AOD and you will LOVE that car. If you want some tips or what not i have a few buddies who either may have extra stuff, or will help you tune that thing real well. Good Luck.
