ive been looking at this 5.0 Mustang in my freinds garage, its not his but one of his freinds own it. The guy has been trying to sell it for a over a year now and im pretty intrested. Its a Notchback, Brand New Paint job the engine has been rebuilt and i hear that its pushing out some really strong numbers. The guy was trying to sell it for 4000 but he'll give it to me for 3000 witch is pretty sweet.
The only problem is that my freind told me it has some chasie rust... I looked underneath it and i did see some rust but i couldnt tell how bad it was. I want it but its the rust that scares me. Do you guys think that having some rust is gonna be a bad problem???

If the rust isnt too bad, you could just buy some POR-15 and paint over it. Problem solved. If the rust is a little out of control, you might want to leave it. Surface rust is fine, you just dont want any actual rot. the same goes with any car, not just Mustangs.
