Looks like the Trans-Am won't be racing anytime soon. Judging by the amount of metal missing from the oil pump there is no way it isn't in the engine (even though everything looks good so far) so I am going to baby it while I save for a new block, probably going to go with Rapid Motorsports Dominator block and a 230/230 or so cam. No point in running it to death and losing the block core. Another update is I am going to ditch the Nitrous Express NXL system and switch to a TNT power ring wet kit with some "minor" modifications. My sponsor is going to hook me up with a Nitrous/propane kit. For those that don't know how it works you plumb the propane in instead of extra fuel. Eliminates fuel puddling in the manifold and also gives you a nice bump in octane to around 110 so you never need to run race gas unless you get real crazy. Only downside is it adds 28 more pounds to the car.

What happened to the engine???
Any idea?
I'm a HUGE fan of TNT, been running it for a couple years 8)
When you go propane route... we gotta meet, I MUST see it!

Timing chain chopped through the back of the oil pump, my shop didn't know it needed spacers and none were provided with the chain (the whole accesory packet was missing with the bolts and everything). Good news is it is the pump is aluminum so i may get some more time before it goes but I figure it's life just got cut in half. Earliest I will have the TNT setup is end of year, maybe next spring. With having to shell out for a new block my toy budget just went to hell. However once it is in Maybe we can meet up at island? I think i am going with the Force 2 setup (100-300HP hit) if I get a nice block, maybe pop a 200 hit orsomething cool like that, run some 9's!
