and i must say....GODDAMN! this is by far the best of the three prequels. the beginning is very action-packed, to say the least. It kinda slows down afterwards, but picks up again with about a half-hour left. The new villain, General Grievous, is awesome...I won't give away any details, but he's pretty badass.
The final fight is mind-blowing. George Lucas spared no expense on this one. It also ties in nicely to the original Star Wars (Episode IV).
I'll probably see it again, since my dad wants to go see it next week.

A good movie, Episode III was . I think I amped it up in my head too much. I still think that the Darth Maul vs Obi and Qui still ranks as #1 light saber battle.
Acting still sucked.
Movie was pretty good. My brother tried to scam my mom into letting him stay home so I could take him earlier....but no dice.
Now to get out of work early so I can play the video game with my little brother....

Went to see it last nite. It was okay. The good points where the action, the plot, the special effects, and Yoda. The bad points where the acting, the time spent hovering on the "zoomed out" views, terrible acting, reliance on computer graphics in the wrong places, and bad acting. Overall good but once is enough, I'll see it later in life on HDTV :)

the acting in every star wars movie from the characters who the story surrounded has always sucked. even from the beginning. but episodes 1-2 sucked the worse...havent scene 3.
if the story remains on track and good, ill think its good.

nah, the final battle in Episode III was definitely better than anything Darth Maul ever did.

While I have seen 1 movie (back in the day, it was free, I got to spend time with a bf, and it was free), I have no desire to see any of the others. They're just not my style.

I thought that the movie was amazing. Definitely better than the last two, and I would say better than Jedi. Still don't know where to place it among A New Hope and Empire.
Even if you don't like Star Wars, you should still see the movie. It stands out on its own as a great film.

You're the first person I've ever heard of not having seen at least ONE of the Star Wars movies.
The "OMG STAR WARS" people are the "never been laid" people so it's no wonder you don't want to see it. Also, if you assume the movie is anything like this gay marketing hipe then yeah, it would look like crap. For me, I've seen all the older movies when I was a child so it's only curiosity that brings me to view the newer ones. I wasn't let down by them either. Overall the series was good and with just about ever action flick the acting sucks.
My point is, if you aren't going to see it because it looks too geeky then that's not a good reason. If you don't like action flicks than that's a much better reason :) .

I wouldn't so much call it an action movie, although yeah, there is a lot in it, but the main genre is Sci-Fi, and that, my dear, is what disinterests Kelly, as well as myself. As for Matt, he likes plenty of movies, and i know this because Matt usually recommends them to me. Personally, I am just flat-out disinterested and not at all intrigued by any of the Star Wars saga hype. It's not my thing, but whenever I tell someone that, they are like "omgwtf you don't know what a good movie is!" I'll leave the fans' opinions alone as long as they stop coming after me with toy lightsabres for disliking the films.

Finding out that Darth Vader is Lukes father, will forever be one of the best suprises in any film! Come on you have to admit, it was just bone chilling! This was by far the best of them all because it links everything together! They did emphasize too much on the lovey lovey crap, and not enough on the "the ending" ( don't wanna spoil it for anyone)! Great Film!
:hail: Lucas......give us 3 more :D

the rumor of nine total movies started when the first 3 came out...Lucas had originally planned on the last 3 movies dealing with Luke Skywalker's confrontation with the Emperor. However, he scrapped that idea and decided to do it in 6 movies. you won't see another 3 movies.

Rumors (probably unfounded) are floating around that he's got 3 more planned in his head, dealing with the post-empire and all that
you won't see another 3 movies.

does anyone else ever want to start a riot between star wars fans?
you can say to the guy dressed like darth vader "hey man, this guy over here says you're a weenie because you are mostly robot"
darth vader "ill have to choke a bitch"
then you say to the obi wan type guy "hey man, darth vader over here says youre gay and you talk too much"
plastic light sabers get whipped out...riot in the theater.
awesome.

On my "3rd" visit to the theater, Darth Vader and Obi Wan were fighting in the parking lot! Full costums and all so....... It was killing me, I had to stop the violence! I interuppted the battle and asked Darth Vader for an autograph! They weren't happy, but my friends and I got a huge laugh

The last three books were written by Timothy Zahn (The Thrawn Trilogy). From what I heard Lucas doesn't even regard them. The only way Lucas will make films 7-9 is if he writes them himself so he can make more on them. But who knows, maybe in another 15 years they'll surprise us again with something new again.

I was 4 years old when the original Star Wars came out, and my parents took me to see it. I was totally amazed, and have been a fan since. Not the type of fan with all the books and lightsabers and crap, but just someone who enjoys the story line. I thought Episode 3 tied all of the movies together nicely. It definitely is better than the first two prequels!

I remember hearing that back in the day also. But, I saw an interview with Lucas and Christensen on AOL for Moviefone, and Lucas said that Episode 6 is the final episode. To him, Star Wars is really the story of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader); about how he was good, then decieved and turned to the Dark Side, and finally his redemption at the end of "Return of the Jedi."
