I just got back from atco from the 3 day weekend. I did pretty well the 1st two days, not so hot today, went 5 rounds in the $5k friday and the $10k saturday, only 2 rounds in the $5k today. Anyhoo, here's two of my best timeslips, theyre so friggen close I just had to share :D

This guy musta been kicking himself. Not too often you loose with a .011 and dead on with a 4, a 2-thousandths package will do it though :)

damn, that's some serious driving. you keep track of your stuff in a book? is that a homemade book or do they sell something like that? a .002 beats a .011 every day of the week. congrats.

Thanks guys :) I'm actually more happy with running dead on the dial-in than the reaction times, but still pretty happy with those. Luckily I had a long time racer dialing my car in for me, and he hit it right on the nose most of the night. We were playing down to thousandths of a second. One run, he said I'd be on a high 8.02 (like a 8.027 or so), but in these races you win and lose them by thousandths so we didnt want to take a .007 package right off the bat, he gave me a 5 lb weight to put in the car to bring it up to an 8.03, I think that run I ran 8.032. It's an unbelievable level of competition. I'm happier than a pig in poo that I made it down to less than 16 cars in two races with well over 200 entrants.

Oh, and Jims69Camaro, yes, every run is logged, I know how many runs are on the springs, lifters, oil, engine, trans, tires, etc. The book was free from Jeg's with some order I made, Summit has one too. I think I have a few layin around if you want me to send you one.

are you kidding? that would be awesome. send me an email and i'll send you my post address.

it's amazing the level that some of these guys play at. i'd be lucky just to get within a second and they're playing at the thousandths of seconds... and a five pound weight equals .01 ?!? all i knew about weight was that 100 lbs == .1 second. so i guess if you have to pee in between rounds that'll affect your ET, as well...

actually a 5 lb weight equals about .004 :) give or take a few because of wind and weather.

I'll check tomorrow to see if I have any extras layin around.. i'm pretty sure i do, so ill PM or email you tomorrow

sweet!

If she doesn't have one, and you still want one, jegs and summit both sell them for under $10 IIRC.
