Sorry guys no video. Not even a pic. Just saw a GN and TA (85-86) turn off of Amwell Road in Hillsborough onto Auten Road. The GN was in front and shot around the corner. The TA barked the tires, and shot into the left lane trying to pass. Obviously a race, and during evening commute times too.
Funny how a certain shape of car, when dressed all in black, can catch the eye faster than a neon orange light. A polished GN, even a glimpse, is a beautiful thing.

MMMMM GN
Ever since i took a ride in my buddys 87 i was hooked! Some day I will buy one...almost bought a T-Type a year ago and kick myself every day for not buying it. Also Kick myself for not buying the 69 GTO Judge, the 1987 250R (Quad) amongst some other things that I could have gotten for next to nothing that i passed up.

there was an 87 sitting in the parking lot of my job for a while...haven't seen it lately but it sure was pretty
I went to school with a kid that had an 87 GN. He really messed the motor up somehow, so he got it rebuilt, got a bigger turbo and upgraded the fuel system. He also got it tuned. I can't begin to describe how fast it is. Its rediculous  ! I got a ride in it once, but hat was before he got all the work done to it. One of my friends got to drive it after all the work and he still cant believe how hard it pulled.
I came soooooo close to trading my camaro for an 87 GN. I really wish that guy didnt find that other camaro

For the other Hillsborough guys...
One of the employees at Hapi has a pretty sick 11 second T-type

whenever i have the cash i can't find one. when the cash isn't present, they come crawling out of the woodwork. like now, i see deals on t-types and GNs everyday.

never had a gn/t-type and don't want one. only thing cool about those cars is the turbo'ed 3.8. you can keep the crappy generic g-box they came wrapped in.
i am still waiting for the gn guy at work who's car is "so fast" to step up and run me.
they are generic cars with generic combo's, they all look the same and all run teh same numbers. they are also not nearly as fast as all of the hype that surrounded them stock. a stock L98 f-body beats a stock gn.

IMO the GN's are one of the things that GM really hit the nail on the head with as a whole package. Incredibly fast and while it may be generic, the styling is sexy. There's nothing that can catch the eye like a nice polished up GN anywhere.

umm its a black buick regal with different rims and some louvers on the fenders  I have to agree with tim in that the only thing that really gets me is the performance...not a fan of the body they put it into.

I love the Buick Regal body style just like the Monte SS. Too bad they never put a real engine/trans combination in the 80's Monte SS like Buick did with the GN and T-types.

My buddy has had about 5 of them so far, and I appreciate them more and more everytime he gets a new one. The one he has now he has repainted to the Blasberry color changing paint, and it just doesnt feel like a GN. A GN is next on my list, once i drive the crap outta the Z28, and begin to make some money after school. Ill get some pics of my buddies 87 for ya. Later.

Second gens ARE sexy. The Trans Am got more press and edges out the Camaro in value for these, but the body style and history behind both of them make them both sexy.
I'd trade my 88 TA for a 78 TA in a heartbeat.

Second gen Z28's and SS396 cars are way higher than 2nd gen Firebird's and TA's. 1970 Z28 with RS is selling for $50K+ and 1970 SS396/375hp Camaros are selling for $75K+. The Firebird and TA had more performance in 75-78 and they are finally being recognized as collector cars which is good to see. But the 73-74 SD TA's are the strongest Firebirds price wise.
