you gotta be kidding me....
i'd beat her to death with a 100 Grand bar. stupid people like this are wastes of space in this country.

If you hear contest givaways on the radio, usually money, you would hear "One THOUSAND DOLLARS" or "One Hundred THOUSAND dollars"... not "a hundred grand"... this woman is obviously numb-skulled and prize-happy.

think about it like this guys.. if they said that YOU won a 100 grand and to go to the bank to collect and then YOU find out it was just a JOKE, how happy would YOU be?? You may say that she dumb or whatever but I bet that she'll win.. you can't say something like that and offer something else.. All I can say is that I would be mad as you know what!!

Yes, but this woman is from KY. My guess is she barely got passed HS and wouldn't know what would have been said if she really won money.
If I heard "Be caller 10 and you could win 100 grand" and all of the other stuff that he said, I'd be tempted to think it was the real deal too. You and I may know better from experience and/or education, but what about those who do not benefit from either?

the only problem is that if they never stated in print or on the air that the prize was money then she doesn't have a leg to stand on. if they can show thaat at any time people were actually told that the prize was money then she has a case.
to my way of thinking this is just another wasteful lawsuit anyway. it would be nice to see all the ambulance chasing and nit picking lawyers lined up and shot and leave the legal system to people who actually care about law and justice.

They never said it wasn't money, either.
I dunno, it may be a wasteful lawsuit, but I'm not sure which way it will or even should go.

I was gonna say this before but didn't. I think the problem for her is proving she was in a binding contract.
And I see a small difference between "I'll give you a million bucks" from your friend and "I'll give you a hundred grand" from a radio show that regularly does giveaways on air.

She will win....
"FCC regulations say contest descriptions can't be false, misleading or deceptive and that stations must conduct contests as advertised."

This reminds me of the Hooters Toy-Yoda contest. Why screw around with people's heads? For a laugh? Maybe not for the amount being sued for, but some compensation is in order. JMHO
