Browsing ebay I came across this listing. It's like so many othes out there on ebay, however it seems the cheapest. Usually, the cheapest isnt the best, however I couldn't see a difference between this one and others out there.

How much of a pain in the butt is installing a new carpet kit? All holes and trimming are the responsibility of the new owner, and the carpet is always shipped oversized. Is this a 4 hour project or a two day / weekend project? Assume all the seats, console, belts and such are already removed.

I'd like to hear about some experiences.

I'd say about 30 minutes to an hour of installation. The carpet should come with the tar adhesive packs I believe so itll be a while for it to dry. It took me about 5 minutes to rip my carpet out with everything removed, and judging from my removal, it really shouldnt take long. The only PITA would be under the radio console (if you dont have that removed), and by the feet of the driver side.

Plus, theres carpet kits for a little bit extra that'll also include the rear cargo area... this one doesnt.

for the front and rear i ordered mine through ACC(i think auto custom carpet) both ran me $220 the rear took me about 45 mins or so...the passenger area....you gotta gut EVERYTHING then you gotta cut the holes your self(thats sucks) but it took me like 2 1/2 hours to gut and lay down the carpet. i put the car back together like a day after because i let the carpet flatten out. But the seats, console and side panels hold everything..... no gule is actually needed unless you want to gule under the console....i didn't use any and it looks nice

I just re-did the '91's carpet this winter and I have to say it was easier than expected. Just make sure you don't go too crazy while trimming - you can always trim off a little more, but you can't reattach pieces you already cut off! I'll post a few pics, but check out my website for the full story. Also, the best deal I found for my carpet and seats was ABC upholstery - best price I found and they use ACC carpets - excellent quality! My only regret is not doing it sooner. Good Luck! --John

Nice pics. Thanks for the pointers guys. Gonna shop around a little more before deciding. Hopefully right after the swap I'll be able to concentrate on the interior and have most of it done before the Nats.
