View Full Version : parting out 91 RS camaro (305 auto)
i'll be getting this car in towards the end of next week. its a black 91 v8 RS with a 305 tbi and 700r4 tranny. floors are rotted so basically it isnt worth rebuilding besides i'm taking some of the body parts and most of the interior for my 85 iroc, but there will still be several things left. Main things will be the drivetrain (does run), doors, flat hood, 91-92 style dash, and steering column w/airbag. i'm still debating on keeping of selling the aero ground fx,(front spoiler is not available) I should have pics of this car by next weekend. From the day i get it towed in, to the day it gets junked will be 3 days at most and it will be stripped of only parts i consider worth keeping/selling, so if you want a certain part let me know so i can make sure i dont leave it on the car when it gets junked.
Save that steering colomn. Bruce (tastyle88) is in desperate need of one.

I'm looking for that padded black piece that goes under the steering column. Gotta be clean and in good shape.

what condition is the hood in? how much would u like for it? Thanks
the steering column looked good w/ airbag intact. I also have a column out of a 91 bird, same column just different wheel.
The interior is in very nice condition so i'm pretty sure that panel is clean as well, ill let you know. I think i have that padded part out of a 91 bird, it is very close to the camaro one i think or i may have a 92 padded peice from an RS i had, i'll check on that.
The hood is in good shape, no rust that i saw or and major dings or scratches. I'll get you a pic of it this coming weekend. I'd probably like around $50 for it since junkyards charge 75 and up for a rusty piece of junk.

oh and what color seats?
ok, i got the car all apart and its off to the junkyard monday morning.
The steering column is in very nice condition.
The under dash panel has 1 small crack by the top left, i gotta get batteries for my dig cam and i'll post them, ill also look for that part if i have it left from my 92 RS, but anyone whos seen my garage knows it may take a while to find anything.
rear hatch struts work great and have the connections for the rear window defroster
The hood is decent, a few nicks and would need paint, but not bad at all, i'll take $20 for it.
headliner was junk
The radio plate is good, but i may keep it if i use that dash. however, Year one sells the plates brand new for $12.95.(90-92 style)
The ground effects for the rockers, doors, 1/4 panel, and rear bumper are all in great shape just the metal tabs could be remade since they are a little rusty, but. like i said I may use them and I wont be actively working on the car until winter, but for the right price i may sell, ill think about it
