hey guys my dad bought some 18's off of ebay and my bro was talkin with me about how they would look on my car and what i gotta measure and all that good stuff. we were searchin google for a lil while and couldnt find a good and easily usable tire conversion chart. the problem is the new rims will be set back farther then the current stock rims, and he told me to find an exact match between the current 16" tires that i have on there now and the tires i'll need to get. if anyone can recommend a good chart or can give me the tire numbers that i need i'd appriciate it. just in case heres the number off my tire 23555R16. thanks

type in tire dimensions XXX/XX/18 and click calculate and it will give you the diameter in inches
for example: 235/55/16 = 26.17716535433071

theyre 18"x8.5" and no they arent made to fit my car, my dads an eBay addict and bought them on a whim, just like he does everything else.... well actually I bent one of my stock rims a few weeks ago and hes been looking for replacements and these were a set of 4 18s for like $350 so he bought them. I wanna put them on my car but the thing is I dunno if they'll fit...

my car is a 2001 and i think the back spacing was around 6.5" or sumthin i forget, me and my bro figured it out though. i do remember that these new rims are set back like .5" more then the stock rims....

If your guy is talking about finding the right tire size for the 18's to match the height of the 16's, then go to the following link:
