Greetings to all the true believers, the dream makers, the heart breakers, and all those that stay TRUE TO THE FAITH OF AMERICAN MUSCLE!
Through my vast networking on the WWW it has been brought to my attention that I should stop by and drop a few lines as to my whereabouts and current automotive pursuits. Well, the great u b g is pressed for time as usual, but he will step up and give the short form!
u b has been enjoying the uniqueness factor and raw power of his AMX, and as a few of you have mentioned, he can be seen at various parts houses, cruises/hangouts, and on highways in the Central NJ area. If you happen to see u b, step up and say "hi." I've noticed that people seem to have an aloofness around me at times, and that is not acceptable! If you are a TRUE believer in the power of American muscle, pipe up and HOLLA at ub when you see him! u b is always interested in hearing about what is out there doing some street cleaning of fag azz, fart piped, crack smokin' ricers!
The Dominion 32V project is finally underway! I went on a spiritual journey to try and figure out the mysteries of life, love and Dominion 32V heads. I cleansed my spirit and body by giving up fast food and drinking nothing but protein shakes. I felt my soul and mind becoming in tune with the universe...then, in a dream, Jesus appeared to me! He drove up in a twin turbocharged Lingenfelter 'Vette, and called me over. He told me to "follow my dream of Dominion, but remember to hide the credit card bills from my wife." Then, he gave me the name of the engine builder I should consult, did a killer burnout, and was gone! I woke up the next morning and loaded the parts into my car. Then I drove to upstate NY to pow wow with the engine builder Jesus told me to use. I met the builder, and over pizza and beer we discussed Ayn Rand, The "X Files," and what it would take to give me a streetable 1,000 HP engine...{more to follow}
And as far as other cars go...In my spare time I am doing a buildup of an 87 T Type. The suspension is getting a major reworking, as I'm looking to make this a stable handler at speeds quite a bit above the 100 MPH mark. And alky injection and tuning should allow me to run boost levels in the 20 ish area. This will be my daily driven rice destroyer once completed.
Well, u b g has got to go. See you on the street, hopefully SMACKEN' DOWN Ricers and Eurotrashers!
"unstable bob has LEFT the building!"

Welcome aboard! I saw you once at auto zone in hillsborough. The only reason I know it was you was because you were talking to someone about the AMX and mentioned that you had a T-Type as well.

mmmmmmm, beer! Well, your Dominion project will most likely be done before my JL8 project so you're on the right track. Some day, I hope to have another F-body that can be driven. Dare to dream!

Well Bob if you get back into an F-body you may garner some more fans. Put some f-body steel and wheel under that ego of yours. If nothing else, you can be like many of us - have a project at home that you work on part time, with little hope of it getting on the road. That way we'd have common ground. 8)
Hey bob, were you cruising somerville last friday? I saw a nice AMX that looked a lot like yours and it was loud as hell, just wondering if it was you.

unstable bob gable has no "ego." Confidence and inner security, yes. Ego no. And as a great man once said "It ain't bragging if ya can do it!"
There are no "new" F bodies on the horizon. In fact, there are no new projects on the horizon. The AMX is going to be my shot at the brass ring. But I'd perfer a golden ring. And the AMX has already felt GM/Fbody tech, as I have installed a 200R4 tranny and a steering box out of a WS6. And even thought the engine I am planning for it has some other worldly qualities like 32V cylinder heads, it will still be based around a GM block, probably an LT1. So, I stick with what works. :)
I see you live in Hillsboro, which practically makes me your neighbor. Let me know if you ever want to raise a toast to the power of GM! 8)

Yes, that was unstable bob in that AMX. Hopefully I will be a regular at the S-ville cruise if I can get my work schedule stabilized. So tell me, what did you think of my "Thunder God" exhaust system? I would be interested to see what people outside the car think. Inside it is also loud as hell, but I wouldn't want it any other way!!!!
The car sounds great! loud and powerful, very sharp tone to it. That thing sure does rev up kinda fast, what motor do you have in it?

Thanks, Broh! I enjoy building exhaust systems for my cars, so it is always a hoot when someone acknowledges the sound! The car is powered by a .030 over 360. I'm running a 200R4 with a full manual valve body behind it, and that tranny's gearing really lets me get up into the powerband quickly. :)

Yessir, I was one of the "Hapi" guys. I'm still with them on an "on call" basis, whatever the hell that means! But as long as I still have access to the parts books and my discount I'm not gonna beyotch!
I'd love to see a Fri happening in the 'Boro or close by. I'm right off Amwell in Somerset, so I'd only need 1 tank of gas to get to Petrocks. Really though, I'm a parking lot hang out junky.

I work at Belle Mead Garage and the Hapi guys are always running parts to use (our parts department SUCKS!). Just thought I'd throw that in there for no good reason. Oh, and I'm a parking lot hang out junkie too, but I haven't done it in quite a while. Maybe thats because I dont have any cool cars to do it with.....hmmmmm.......

Ahhh, so yer one 'o "Buck's Boys!" :) Yeah, Hapi does a bunch o' biz with yaz, and I've sent a few peeps yer way. Stu and John Y. from Hapi both have Jeeps, so they have gotten parts from ya as well. It is a small parts world...:)
Screw it if ya don't have a car, come and hang anyway. I was just at a hang out in Greenbrook, and not everybody had their cars out. But I did get a nice "hell cruise" in a new GTO, a young hottie told me she liked my AMX, and a buddy of mine bought me a Slurpee. So see, it is always good to come out! :D

Welcome. You probably don't remember me but years ago we met at Fudds off of rt.22 where you pulled a single 32v sbc head out of the trunk of your ?white cutlass? and ploped it on the hood. You then told me about a project regarding TBI and a big displacement motor you had in the works. Never heard back from you but I can still tune a thing or 2 with TBI :) .
Are the Dominian heads now http://www.araoengineering.com/?
I've been eye balling them for a LONG while. Before you showed me that head. I've done some research and from simulation work it looks like 800+hp n/a on pump gas isn't far fetched for a 434cu sbc.
Anyways, glad you're here and stiring up trouble. We just had a thread about how soft we all are with each others feelings.
If you want to be talking trash about some of the out of staters you need to check your garage. Last time I checked the site was NJFBOA, the FBO standing for F-Body OWNERS... :P I could be very wrong and eat my own words, but I'm getting the impression that you don't own one :?:

I remember you. You were the technogeek {I say that with respect!} who was about to head back to college, right? I was interested in a non carb fuel system for the 455 TA I had at that point, but I ended up selling the car w/o following the TBI path. It prolly would have been a nice project if I ever got around to it. :) And by speaking to you it did seem like your knew yer TBI stuff. 8)

Yup, Dominion and Arao are one in the same. Russ Arao is the name of the builder, and he used the Dominion name at first to market them, and then put his own name on them. These heads are an urban legend, icon, enigma, and murder mystery all rolled into one! AFAIK, there hasn't been a successful use of them brought to light, nor a whole bunch of them out there. Every now and then a story told to a friend of a friend pops up about their use, such as some guy in {insert Western state of choice} has a set up and running on a {insert cubic inch size of choice}, and it is turbocharged, supercharged, N20 injected, propane injected, runs on H20, has dual carbs, TBI, TPI, E-I-E-I-O, and also is a diesel. It made {inset high horse power number of choice} on the dyno, but kept blowing headgaskets. Or something like that!
My heads are now in what I'm basically calling an "R&D" stage. The engine builder I am working with is checking the flow dynamics, and is working in conjunction w/ an established mechanical engineer to thoroughly study the mechanical end of things, such as the valve train, spring sizes, valve angles, oiling, etc. If any changes are deemed necessary they will be made. As of this point they aren't too impressed with the cast rocker shaft set up, so something more fitting may be built. Additional porting may also be done, and then the final configuration can be determined. I want as close to 1,000 hp as possible, and if the LT1 lower end is used, the amount of cubic inches will be limited to a 396 CI configuration. So, I see a supercharger in my future. :) If we decide to go with an aftermarket block, I would prolly be looking at a 434-460 CI configuration. Then we may just have to go with as nasty of a n/a combo we could come up with. :)
Anyways, glad you're here and stiring up trouble. We just had a thread about how soft we all are with each others feelings.

Have you ever noticed that whenever you sit behind a keyboard, some idiot starts typing? Is the denominator in your F bods scale greater than it's numerator? If so, then I see a trend. You're F-body is smaller, I HAVE a neck and it's probably safe to say that isn't the only thing that's shorter  .
As for anything goes, don't you wish. A lounge by definition is a place to be lazy and pass the time. You, by definition and admittance, are unstable. Unstable's aren't allowed to use the "ANYTHING GOES" excuse... that's saved for stable peons. If this were a lounge we'd have to take our little name calling outside so as not to offend the lazy softy idling trolls with nothing better to do than read our pathetic pissing contest of words and insults.
JFYI; Pampered Z works in NJ (I'm sure you know this already) maybe you should try doing the same sometime. It does wonders you inflatable punching toy.
I'm becoming unstable... it must be infectious!!!
BTW, Hapi's was always my second choice to CarParts when it was still CarParts. They always had the parts in stock and the part usually came in a clean box still in it's wrapper  . But I digress... Hapi's is still a place I go if they have the part in stock  . I live in Belle Mead if you can find it on a map you little carnival freak :fight:
1000hp n/a on a big displacement sbc is going to be tuff. I can see 800hp on pump gas ut 1000 is going to require some serious cash into the bottom end. When we meet again in person I'm going to have to waste some of our time talking about those heads!
Hope to run into you at a future meet or Somerville on Friday evening.

Time to take out da trash...
Spazz="fasterthanyou"
u b=who else, but the GREAT ONE!
Spazz: Have you ever noticed that whenever you sit behind a keyboard, some idiot starts typing?
u b: Gee, that is an orig. slam...HELL NOT! What did ya do. Poindexter, dig up Henny Youngman and perform some voo-doo-doo lab experiment to re-animate him so he could give you that dried out yuck yuck? unstable bob would've expected something better from you, 'specially for an opening salvo. But it looks like you are gonna be the kinda jabronie who would try and bring down a stealth bomber with a pee shooter. Flex those cyber butter muscles, Spazz. I'm sure there is somebody sitting on an iceflow in hell who would be impressed.
Spazz: Is the denominator in your F bods scale greater than it's numerator? If so, then I see a trend. You're F-body is smaller, I HAVE a neck and it's probably safe to say that isn't the only thing that's shorter
u b: You should be proud to have a neck such as yours. Then you will always have something to stick in a pencil sharpener, spin the handle a few times, and come out with something you can use to write yer lame attempts at prose and insults. And not that I wanna read into your stuff *YAWN,* but if I am correct and the "short" reference is an attempt to goad me into talking about "manhood" type issues...Sorry Charlie. If you wanna talk about such things, go right ahead. But not with me! Whatever you got on yer mind and what you use as an enterence when it should only be an exit is yer own bizzy biz! I have nothing against "your kind," but forgive me if I don't put any of those rainbow stickers on my ride. But tell me, does San Francisco have nice weather year round?
Spazz: As for anything goes, don't you wish. A lounge by definition is a place to be lazy and pass the time. You, by definition and admittance, are unstable. Unstable's aren't allowed to use the "ANYTHING GOES" excuse... that's saved for stable peons. If this were a lounge we'd have to take our little name calling outside so as not to offend the lazy softy idling trolls with nothing better to do than read our pathetic pissing contest of words and insults.
u b: Gee, thanx for the definition Noah [life] Webster! Didja have to re-tape the nose bridge of yer coke bottles so you could put em' on to read that def? And since we're tossing the 'ol dictionary around, {I promise I won't toss it too hard at ya, 'cause a 98 lb weakling like you could get REALLY hurt} here is another def for "lounge" that is relevant: a room in a usually public building or vehicle often combining lounging, smoking, and toilet facilities. Relevent because: 1. My rebuttals and insults are SMOKING yer lame, dippy, CRAPPOLA 2. Yer weak attempts at sparring belong in a toilet facility! And as for stepping inside, outside, or over to The Far Side, unstable bob will kick yer puny, pathetic, cyber or realworld self up and down the street like a dayum kickball! Oh, sorry for the "sports" reference. I don't want to make you shed any tears about those scary days of old...when you were picked last for gym sports...and you were stuffed in lockers and had yer lunch money taken away by the school bullies. Hell, you were prolly bullied by the school nerds, who in turn were bullied by bullies!
Spazz: JFYI; Pampered Z works in NJ (I'm sure you know this already) maybe you should try doing the same sometime. It does wonders you inflatable punching toy.
u b: What are you, Pampers wearin' Zeke's 'lil RAH RAH boy? Somehow I don't doubt the fact that you've worn a cheerleader outfit or 2 during your illustrious life. I know Zeke gets his paycheck in NJ, because for some reason it is OK for Pennsyltucky Hillbillies to steal jobs from NJ residents.
And as for me "trying to work in NJ," well, looky here...lemme look at my paystub from the same place I've been working at for the last 17 years...it is from NEW JERSEY TRANSIT RAIL OPERATIONS! WOW! I live in NJ and work for the state of NJ! Sorry if I snuffed another of your attempts at cracking my armor, Sir Lanceazit. BTW: I'd like to see what kinda "work" you've ever put up? I mean real physical work. Hell, you'd prolly think you were melting if you ever worked up a sweat having to do a real job. But maybe it is better if you stay out of the sun and hot weather. After all, crap does smell pretty bad when it melts...
And as far as being an "inflatable punching toy," well, lemme break this down:
Inflatable: Yes, I do take in large quanities of air, to provide the vast amounts of O2 my superior mental functions require
Punching: I'm PUNCHING the crap out you here!
Toy: Ya toy with me, ya get destroyed!
PS: It is nice that you feel you have to try and "bounce" for Pamper's Wearing Zeke {pffft, yeah, right. YOU a bouncer! Good one, u b !} but Zeke likes girls. Just wanna keep you from getting hurt, precious!
Spazz: I'm becoming unstable... it must be infectious!!!
u b: No, you are just becoming more septic, a bigger, ever festering sore on the caboose of mankind. You are not and will never be fit to even polish the boots my unstable feet walk in.
Spazz: BTW, Hapi's was always my second choice to CarParts when it was still CarParts. They always had the parts in stock and the part usually came in a clean box still in it's wrapper  . But I digress... Hapi's is still a place I go if they have the part in stock  .
u b: Well, you would be my second choice to beat on, since you are basically a poor man's "Rainman" type bash bag. But hey, you pretty much asked for it...*shrug*
Hapi's is a sinking ship. I tried to pump things up by telling the higher ups about products like Sal Zaino's polishes, POR 15, and Bill Hirsch restoration products. All Jersey based products, easy to market, good following, etc. But they don't giva crap. The owner basically wants out, the retail end is a joke, and other local bizes have moved in on their wholesale accounts. Plus their location sux. Oh well, I had a good 3 year run there. I'll be hanging up my shingle somewhere else soon. I don't really need the part time jobby, but I do enjoy the biz. Hell, I've been at it for close to 20 yrs.
Spazz: I live in Belle Mead if you can find it on a map you little carnival freak :fight:
u b: I'm quite aware of the location of Belle Mead, Rand Mcjabronie! I just wasn't aware that they had a population of 'um, er, well...the kinda guys you like. I figgered you were more of a New Hope tuff guy, or maybe an Ocean Grove beach butt bum.
Little carnival freak? Considering that one of my legs is bigger around then yer tinker toy trunk, you are the last poofboi who should be throwing the word "little" around. Carnival freak I can live with...as it has been pointed out that I do have a somewhat over sized head, in order to contain my somewhat oversized brain.
Spazz: 1000hp n/a on a big displacement sbc is going to be tuff. I can see 800hp on pump gas ut 1000 is going to require some serious cash into the bottom end. When we meet again in person I'm going to have to waste some of our time talking about those heads!
u b: I hesitate when thinking of an "unlimited budget" for this engine, but I will not stop until I reach my goal. I don't care if I have to take a shift at Mickey D's cleaning greasetraps to make xtra bux to keep it going. My bottom end pieces already purchased consist of a Lunati crank, Carrillo rods, and Lunati pistons. The LT1 block has been configured with a piston oiling system, billet 4 bolt splayed caps, a main stud girdle, cryo treating, and machine work that is jewel like in it's percision. I'm not playing around with any sub par parts or work in this engine!
And I will have no prob talking for minutes, hours, or days about my heads.
Spazz: Hope to run into you at a future meet or Somerville on Friday evening.
u b: Oh, I can pretty much GARE-OWN-TEE that we are gonna RUN into each other. And junior, you are gonna feel like you were hit by a FREIGHT TRAIN! BTW: That Yuengling in yer posts looks pretty dayum good. Maybe if I'm in a cordial mood I'll buy ya one, and maybe not even crack ya in the noggin w/ the bottle. But I get to pick the bar...again, nothing personal about the bars you like to go to, but "Queer Eye for the Beer Drinkin' Guy" ain't gonna cut it with me!
BUT SERIOUSLY:
If you are gonna quote my favorite race driver, at LEAST spell his name right! It is Don-O-hue, not Don-A-hue! I could always beat the crap outa you with my copy of "The Unfair Advantage," so you will remember, but why would I want to ruin a great book that way? So lets just straighten that up, OK Professor?
Oh ****, he went there and a little bit further! I have to meet this bob fella, he seems like an awesome, no ******** person!

Pampers wearin' Zeke, you are a maroon. You would have to move up 3 notches on the chain of evolution just to be a knuckle dragger! YOU are def one of the things that sux about Pennsyltucky. So that makes you one of about a gadzabazillion! But since you insist on digging around for things that are "OK" in unstable bob's book but have the misfortune of coming from Pennsyltucky, here are a few:
Yuengling beer
Rolling Rock beer
A-Treat sodey
Mario Andretti {grew up in Nazareth}
Smokey Yunick
Grumpy Jenkins
Jere Stahl
Notice there is nothing good listed about coal minin,' black lung having, job stealing jabronies like YOU!
