I keep seeing posts that fbody owners are bitching about the quality of work, and/or time delay from some of the dealerships and hot rod shops.

I'm not looking to take business away from anyone, but if you're willing to try another place, I have a suggestion. My cousin (Bob Twynam) has a shop in Cedar Grove - New Hillcrest Exxon, across from the Cedar Grove EMT bldg. Its a couple of miles down 23 South (Pompton Ave) from the Willowbrook mall.

He's not cheap, but his quality of work is impeccable. He's a hot rodder by nature, he races on the weekend (as does his whole family), and he's not a ******** artist. However, he also isn't a tuner. He doesn't use EFI or ATAP or anything like that. But bolt ons, repairs, even engine builds are done better than factory. I know a handful of people I directed to him and they don't go anywhere else anymore.

So that's my 2 cents to help out those disgruntled by current repair shops. Hope it helps.

Cool. Thats good to know.

Did you go to the Florham Park show last night? I skipped, I wasn't feeling well. I haven't been to that show in two weeks. :(

No, it was too damn hot, plus was out car shopping for the wife.

It ended up being cancelled cause of the heat anyway....

I didn't realize it was cancelled. I was planning on going to the whippany show tonight if the weather holds up. Its actually hotter today.

Well he races a Nova with a bick block. His younger brother has an LS1 Camaro that was running 11's. His father has set records (since broken) at a handful of tracks around the east coast. They know what they are doing when it comes to tweaking an engine for performance, that's for sure. They've built everything. You should have seen my Dodge Ram in peices - they just took the ENTIRE dash out to change the A/C vaporator. Peice of **** Ram....

Ficacci-Calabro racing was the team back in the day.

Here's a couple of websites mentioning his name
