View Full Version : Leaving NJFBOA

I will be leaving NJFBOA as of today. i know i havent been around long, and never went to a meet or anything, but i figured i at least owe you guys a thank you and a goodbye.
unfortunately, if i would have found this site a year or two ago, i would have definitly been more involved. the problem is that i've owned a ton of F-bodies in the 4 short years i've had my liscense, and now im not really interested. i havent learned anything new to share with you guys, and i dont plan on buying another Camaro for a very long time, if ever. im very busy with work and all that good ****, and for the last few months i've been having trouble finding time to become involved more.
therefore, i would like to thank everyone here, every member, for helping me out with my Camaro issues, providing jokes, insight and funny pictures to lighten up the day. i would also like to thank all the members that came all the way up to my house to get parts, making them easier to get rid of.
so for now, goodbye NJFBOA members, good luck with your projects ,
Steve aka NJ85Z28
p.s. i may pop in from time to time, so dont take this as a forever thing
:(
you dont have to leave because you dont have a camaro. I have a mustang that doesnt run for crying out loud!
If you really want to leave, I guess thats your choice. I hope you stop back in a lot. Keep us updated on how things are going for you. Best of luck in all that you do.

I don't nor have I ever owned an FBody, and I"m still here. It's still a fun place to hang out, be entertained, and all that good stuff.

Just about everybody on here is cool. Half of us don't even have f-bods ( I have a 99 Silverado). It doesn't matter, they still welcome you with open arms. So, in short, NO reason to leave.

Later Bro you'll be missed :( but like everbody else is saying.you don't have to have a F-bod to stay on the site.you already have what's important which is the LOVE of the F-bod and that counts alot in my book.
Hope to still see you around
Later,
Santos

I can't force ya to read the boards, but I do hope that you pop your head in to check in from time to time.
It's still a fun place to hang out, be entertained, and all that good stuff.
I won't make a comment about the "entertainment" that this site has provided to you

i don't have an f-body either (although i will in a year  ) it's not just about the cars, it's about the community.

:stupid:
I started off here without the car as well, learning a lot about the mechanics while enjoying time with new friends.
I hate to see you drop out Steve before youve had a chance to get involved beyond the forums. I have spent many more hours at peoples houses / place of business buying parts or just shooting the breeze than I have at any official meets. I agree, it's more about the community than the technology.
Feel free to just lurk for a while, check in to see the events, and keep in contact with the few whom you;ve met at least. Despite the location of your house  I think you can still have fun with the club.

True dat. Koll's posts don't count as entertainment. :P
But yeah man, you should stick around. Only reason why I come to this board often is because these are a great bunch of guys, and even better, we all have a love for f-bodies. I may be selling my Camaro soon, but even if I do I'll still come here. There is plenty to talk about in these forums other than just F-bodies.

He wasn't referring to Koll.
And don't worry Justin, you and Tim will get some sort of recognition at the wedding for being one of many catalysts that allowed this to happen. ;) A big NJFBOA.com sign instead of Just Married? :)

Hmmm...we may have to have a separate reception just for the club...don't need the families seein what may happen if you put open bar and a car club in the same room. :)

Unfortunately (or is it fortunately?), dad won't be the only one there. Think about my 80+ yr old grandmother...my young cousins (youngest is like 15 or 16, so not horribly young)...and then there's his side of the family...yah, separate reception...in the basement? ;)

Basement could work....
But could we end the marraige discussion for now? Too early for friends to be gettin' married.
