blahahaha did anyone see the episode last night where they raced the lambo against the nitrous injected limo? The limo blew up but somehow managed to run neck & neck with the lambo to the 169mph trap speed  it was completely retarded

I watch it for the same thing, i think the limo would have went faster without vito in it though.

again I reiterate their regular price being 25-30 dollars for 3 runs...atco you almost always(unless you show up after 8pm) get 3+ runs for $13...I just dont see why you think etown in superior...I'd like to hear some valid reasons other then the K&N nats are held there

I do like Etown better then Atco.
Everyone knows you run faster at Atco because the track is 10ft shorter then Etown, and its downhill (or is that Cecil?).
I can run more then 3 times at Etown, but few and far between. Atco is nice, but the drive is 10x as long as it is to Etown.
Etowns prices are getting out of control, no doubt. Its almost not worth driving up there.

when was the last time you RACED at etown though? So there goes your vote ..Cecil is downhill...personally I run the same #'s generally at both tracks...maybe atco is 10ft shorter but etown makes up for it with their bad track prep & lack of runs given. And their pricing is getting retarded...I can go to atco twice for every once I go to etown and get 10x the runs. If you want to say its a nicer looking track with bigger bathrooms I'll agree, otherwise atco is the better track if you actually race.

atco = far

my thinking is the $ you save by racing you can buy gas for there & back & have money left over for a burger ;)

Atco-$13 race $10 watch
etown- wed $26 to race $14 to watch
Fri/sat- $20 race & $10/$12 to watch depending on the mood they are in

Hey Al,
1320 feet = 1320 feet no matter where you go. You run faster at Atco because of the elevation, no other reason. Every NHRA sanctioned track is strictly measured. I don't know hwere this stupidity about atco being 10 feet shorter comes from. If it was 10 feet shorter your mph would be lower, but your ET quicker.... thats not the case.

And to 12secondV6.. You're the first person I think I've heard complain about Island on this board. I've heard it from other boards but not usually this one. Everybody's entitled to his or her opinion, but Island didn't get voted Track of the Year for nothing.

EDIT: So I don't look like a heinous bitch, I meant that the rumor is stupid and far fetched... not Alex. :)

Atoco may be nice, but uhh, im not driving all that way. so i cant have a opinion there, since ive never been there

Etown is nice, i thought the track was fine, my only negative comment would be the long time to wait between runs.

Island , the track i usually hit is fine for me. And very short waits between runs.

Only downfall i see with island is if you have a real fast car, you may hafta say a few hail marys while you get on the breaks..and the shoot..and jump out of the car..

most tracks run down hill.
if atco was really 10ft shorter(a rumor that i have been hearing for decades now) then the NHRA would have made them move teh lights long ago.
i live in the middle of all 3, so travel time isn't a big deal.
i like atco's facilities, they keep making improvements and offer better run race nights than most tracks i have been to.
island is a nice track. small, comfortable, you can get a million runs in, and the people are as nice as you will find at any track anywhere.
etown has awesome facilities that are managed by non racing dip****s. it is also the SLOWEST track in the state. if their program was half as good as their facilities the only complaint anyone woudl ever have is the big crowds. instead they offer high prices and no payouts for competitors and a rude staff.
