Is it auto or manual? Defineltly the intake leak like foff667 mentioned. I know I've had it more than once. Also the whole ignition system is somthing to check. Take the car for a ride, and put it into a high gear keeping it under 2K, and give it a lot of gas under load. Thats the best way to check the spark. A dying opti, coil, plugs or wires will make the car miss under load. Also, let the car warm up fully, and watch the temp. Make sure it doesnt pass 210-220 idling. Other than that, seems like a good price.

well it looked good, real clean and even had a functional 93-97 style ram air hood with the proper filter and ducting. the car had sat unused for about 4 years other then the occasional start up until he recently took it out (it was garaged) but it ran great and sounded awesome, no funny noises or anything unusual
