I have an 86 IROC. I finally got tired of the seat belt issues and got a 4th gen seat belt set. Right now only the female buckles are in.
This got me thinking... are there other parts I could swap in? Other than a drivetrain, what would you recommend I swap into the 3rd gen and how much do you think it should cost?
The first thing that comes to mind are seats, and possibly brakes.

console, dash, doorpanels, steering wheel(direct replacement)... all depends how much you want to modify and spend time converting
THey have a whole list of **** on TGO thats interchangable... some of them include mirrors (modification req), Console (modification req), Seats, Seatbelts (modification req?), the entire dash with major modification required.... just go there and it should be a sticky under the fabrication thread.

I used that list to determine if the seat belts would fit.
I guess I should bracket the question by asking "Which swaps would you do"? I like the look of my 3rd gen but something like a seat swap might add some flair (and comfort) without detracting from the overall look.
Yea, i would do a console.. but you will probably never ever see a 100% completely fit and perfect 4th gen console in any conversion. And if im not mistaken, 4th gen rear seats need a small modification where they latch onto. I forgot about door panels too... but I would just do leather seats and a console. That'll definately spice up the look of a third gen.
*Edit* 1000th post
i heard that there's a slight issue with bolting up the back bench seat...but other than that seats are easy as hell and a direct bolt-in from what i've heard

unless your going from a split bench seat to a single bench, theres no issue at all.

Just remember, if you go to 4th gen seats, you must get leather t/a seats. They are by far the best of all 4th gen seat offerings.

I usually see them for $400-$500 with no rips.

are we talking strictly interior stuff? i'd be tempted to grab a 4th gen rear, but only if limited-slip and 3.73:1 - that's assuming you don't grab the whole drivetrain, which i would if one became available. back when bill wrecked his whip i was going to buy it for the drivetrain and swap it into the third.

You got ripped off - unless they were brand new. Even then that's pretty high. The T/A leather seats are way more comfy.

there have been a bunch of Â*4th gen interior swaps already done, dash, door panels, everything, even ls1 and t56 swaps in addition to the interior, Â*ive seen pics of camaros and firbird swaps, at a quick glance, youd swear it was a 4th gen, some mods are needed to just about everything but if you take your time, it is very nice. Â*do a search and you should easily find some pics and writeups.

Thats what there going for and they look great, most have tears where the driver gets in and these don't ive seen sets go up to as much as over a 1000. I would have gotten the ta ones but i dont like the headrest on them there to bulky for me to put in a thirdgen camaro.
