Tried the Hair-Blower technique, but it didnt work so well. Â*I ended up using fishing line to "floss" the badges off. Â*And once I got the badge off, I used goo-off and my finger nails. Â*then I sprayed it with bug & tar remove, and cleaned off with a clean cloth. Â*Looks perfect!

Next step is to finish my berger panel, fill in the CAMARO lettering to make it flat, and put on 1 retro Z/28 badge in the center under the key hole. And all thats left on my apperance mods list is a 98+ SS Spoiler!

are you going to fill in that indented "camaro" that is in the rear panel? i am trying to picture teh black panel with teh old school badge and it jsut seems like it woudl look weird with the indented lettering still there.
the shaved sides looks a lot cleaner, now get rid of that molding :)

Looking good. BTW, a faster and easier solvent is gasoline and/or acetone. Both work great and so long as you've got a clear coat it won't damage the paint. I wouldn't let acetone sit on it but it'll remove anything sticky.. ANYTHING. I use it on windows all the time to get bug and tree sap off.

Has anybody shaved the back camaro lettering? If so, do you have a picture or know where I can look for one? I think it would look really good without any badges.

im pretty sure thats his idea, to fill in the letters and make it smooth, and slap the old Z28 badge on. should look pretty cool...just take your time with the body filler and itll come out nice.

yup... I am thinking of using body filler on the top f my rad support once the body work is done, just to flatten it out again.

Good luck with this, let me know if you need a hand

Tim, I dont plan on removing the side molding, because the camaro's have that silly looking gap between the bumpers and the rest of the car. Plus I work at the mall, I need all the bumper guard I can have

Heres what the finished product should look like:
(the black would be a unpainted Mecham or 96-97 SS Spoiler)

I like that rear panel, however I dunno if I like that spoiler black or not. I guess I would have to see it in person.....
