Ahhh, the boys of summer head into the reds and golds of October. With the most important gold of all being that World Series ring. In the 35 or so years that I have followed the Yankees, I have seen some of the best and some of the worst things that can happen. But it doesn't get much better then this: Showdown at Fenway Park. This is like Goliath vs. Goliath. And even though I'm a Yankees' fan, with pinstipes in my blood, I respect Boston. Anyone who doesn't is truly a fool. So, let the carnage begin! TWO TEAMS ENTER, ONE TEAM LEAVES! And hopefully that team will be DA BRONX BOMBERS! :!: :!: :!:

yanks are lookin really strong the last few weeks while the red sox have been hit or miss lately.
yanks will take 2 of 3 and roll into the playoffs towards yet another world series crown. :)

All we have to do is win one game. The Sox won't win three. Too bad the only two consistant starters we have right now are Chacon and Small, both of which won't be in this series.

The best thing for the Yankees to do is SWEEP them, that way they don't even make Wildcard and get revenge for last year..and more than likely if it comes down to one game at the end, everybody will be coming out of the ballpen 8)

Aaron Small I think has been a big part of the starting pitching since he was brought from the minors. 10 and 0 with a good ERA IMO is good. I still dont know why the hell Kevin Brown was a Yankee to begin with, he just sucked, he was definately a small reason the yankees slumped in the first quarter of the season. Ill be happy if they take 1 game, but 2 games is definately better. 3 games will be the ****. Sweeping the sox in Fenway Park is gonna be pretty hard tho. I got my Mexican salsa dip made for tonight, hoping the Yankees own the **** outta the Bosox.

And about Ortiz, if I was a pitcher, id definately throw a pitch right by his head so his 80 pound skull strains his neck muscles. MVP my ass, fking designated hitter....

I think I heard that if he finishes the season 10-0 he'll be only the 4th pitcher in history to win all 10 of his starts as his major league debut after being called up mid season. I think 2 of the other 3 were Whitey Ford and Tommy John.

i love all the guys at work who like to talk about the red sox beating the yanks last year. 1 championship on 86 years followed by possibly not being in the playoffs is not a dynasty like some media likes to make it sound.
then again, they are all phillies fans. they don't know what it is liek to cheer for a team that doesn't choke or plain old suck every year. :P
