View Full Version : ATTN: Possible Forum Downtime ***Update***

There may be brief periods this afternoon/evening where the forums will be unavailable. I will do my best to make sure that these periods do not last longer than 10 or 15 minutes. During these periods I will be testing some major site upgrades Â*

This does not relate to the database issues that we had from 6:30pm last night to about 2:00am this morning, I'm still trying to figure out exactly what caused that.

Thanks to all for your patience with us during this time.

I would complain to the provider Justin for not fixing the issue as fast as they said the would be able to. Not acceptable for getting the issue resolved in only 8 hours!

Yea, I know - I guess they decided that my problem just wasn't an emergency. Turnaround time for the standard support line is 1-12 hours. I've never had problems with them before, so I'm not that upset about it.

I have my own dedicated server that usually up >99% of the time. If it can be of any help to the forums, feel free to let me know.

Thanks, but this isn't a server issue.

Forum downtime usually occurs because I close the board so that the database is inactive. Difficult to make site mods when the database is being actively updated.

i have yet to notice any of these updates...the only update i have noticed since the board appeared was the addition of a quick reply...what the hell are all these updates you swear you're adding?

Don't worry, you'll know exactly what the "updates" are when you see them ;)

They were slightly delayed due to some technical difficulties, but we are striving forward anyway. Once testing is done, I'll announce a complete evening of forum downtime.

Yes, I figure that if you can't cruise the boards, you can go to the track and run 11's already....

tomorrow eveing we are expecting to run some final tests on the updated site software. expect periods of downtime ranging from 15mins up to about an hour.
this should mark the end of a long argument with the web site software and it will lead to the update we have all been waiting for :)
