i watched intently all week to see if the weather was going to be with us or against us, but i couldn't tell for sure what was going to happen. then, with the rain we got last night and the current temperture, it should make for a reasonably nasty day.

not that the leaves are cooperating, either.

i wanted to do it a lot closer to us, but A) there really aren't that many facilities that would allow for good color shots of the foliage, and B) not many members live out this way, so it just makes sense to make it easy to get to for the majority of the members. :shrug:

Mercer County Park - 10/23, sunday. monday i will firm it up with park management. funny thing, ewing twp never got back to me on Banchoff park. makes me wonder if there is anyone taking care of the parks this time of year (or ever). maybe we could use it, anyway, depending on how things work out with the other park.

Take 295 to exit 65A, Sloan Ave. Travel east on Sloan Ave., after the second traffic light
travel .7 mile to Paxson Ave. Turn left onto Paxson and proceed .9 mile to intersection of
Hughes Dr. and entrance to Mercer County Park.
FROM: South via US #1
Cross Toll Bridge into New Jersey on US 1. Take first right past Quakerbridge Mall onto
Quakerbridge Rd. Travel 2.2 miles and turn left onto Hughes Dr. Proceed on Hughes
Dr. for 2 mile to entrance of Mercer County Park on the left.
FROM: South via Route 130/206
Follow Route 130 North to 526 in Robbinsville. Turn left at traffic light at Route 526
and right at the next light, (still Rt. 526). From this point travel 3 miles to Route 535 (
Edinburg Rd.) Turn left onto 535 and travel .2 mile to entrance of Mercer Park County
on right.
FROM: North via US #1
Take US 1 South of Princeton to Route 533 (Quakerbridge Rd.). Make right into jug
handle crossing over Route 1 onto 533. Travel 2.2 miles and turn left onto Hughes Dr.

Take Turnpike south to Exit 8 at Hightstown. Follow Route 33 West and turn right on

Take Turnpike to Exit 7A. Follow west on I-195 to exit 5B. Travel north on Route 130

i had wanted to do it early afternoon, like 2:00. however, this, as the rest of it, will bend to the will of the masses. if more people want to have it at 9:00 in the morning, then we'll do it then.
