Driving preveledges restored as of 10-7-05. but a ****ing hawthore cop gave me a "Driving while suspended" tiket cuz th ****ins ispatch says my license is ood at this [ps tminduhg, so the 8th not th5 7th. soI got a****ng ticket and have to go to a ****ing court date on the sam fay as my wind ensmble 1st concert... fuuuuuuuck

kasey- my liscence was suspended last year and what i did was i drove around with the paper saying it was only suspended for a month after it was restored just in case. you should keep that on you for instances like those. and postpone the damn court date. it always buys you extra time to make up the money anyways

I can't understand specifics you ****ing drunken midget! So whats the deal, your license is good on the 8th, not the 7th and you're ****ed? or they ****ed up..you're in the clear and have to go to court to get things straightened out? Also..what the hell did you do to get pulled over last night?

OK what happened was, my license was restored effective October 7th AKA yesterday. I was sitting a red light on Goffle road, cop pulls up behind me, just corssing paths or w/e. Well I guess he decided to run my plates and the computer told him my license is suspended... pulls me over (blows a bubble right as he walks up to my car, REAL prfessional :roll:), says "Are you Kasey? You aware that your license is suspended?" I told him no, its restored effective today and that I didnt have the paper on me but we got it in the mail. He calls his dispatcher, the dispatch tells the cop that my license isnt restored until the 8th AKA today, which is 100% ********. Says he has to give me the ticket otherwise he gets in trouble, but didn't tow my car liek hes "supposed" to do ince he believed me that it's a screw up. Told me to go to the court date, bring the paper from the DMV and the ticket would be dismissed.

Go to court you idiot, it'll get thrown out if its the right date. You got off pretty easy. Go to the court date and show them the paper work that says it was restored on the 7th and you'll walk out scott free just dont give the judge any lip.

A few Hawthorne Cops are pretty relaxed around here, you lucky you didnt Willoko, your car would defenitly have been towed.

call the court clerk monday, explain the situation (without giving your name, if possible) including the concert and beg her for mercy. Â*she might just give it, and you'll get a new court date.

if that doesn't work, you're going to have to come up with a more plausible excuse why you can't make it to court. Â*try not to give your name, just in case it doesn't work, again, so you can try something else later.

whatever you do, either get the date changed or show up to the court date - don't decide to just not show up. Â*the judge could decide to just write a bench warrant, in which case you'll have to pay a contempt fee. Â*one of my step-sons used to handle his court dates like this and he ended up paying hundreds of dollars more in contempt fees. Â*judges would like you to at least be responsible about the court date. Â*while the fees vary from court to court, i saw a judge hand out $100 contempt fees like he was passing out candy. Â*and if you couldn't pay, you got to spend the night in the lock up. Â* :shock:

once he radios it in, he HAS to write the ticket, he wasnt bull****ting you there. plus he didnt tow your ****......so i guess besides the scheduling conflict its all good...

kasey just call up and say you need a new court date. ive been to court several times and quite a few i couldnt make so i just called in before and told them i couldnt make it, then they sent me a notice in the mail with a new date. No begging was neccassary. Usually itll be in a month or 2 depending on how backed up their courts are. plus even if you dont show up theyll most likely issue a new court date anyway, but in my case, ive missed so many they just issue bench warrants now, lol. when my driving privlages got suspended in NY, dont ask, and i finally paid up and got it restored, the lady gave me a paper and told me to keep it with me for a few weeks since it may now show up in the computers for some time.
