View Full Version : Dealing with NJ Manufacturer Insurance
Anyone ever have to deal with them? They're taking forever in getting my car repaired. I'm a very patient person, but this guy is just a prick and I'm about to lose my temper.
The accident was a week ago and I still haven't even had someone over to inspect the car. Usually the insurance deals with getting the police report, but he's making me fax it over. I don't care that much about that part, but the fact that they're taking forever to do anything is just pissing me off.
I've told him several times that I'm worried my hood is gonna pop open while I'm driving and that I want to get this taken care of as soon as possible.
Anyone ever have to deal with them as far as getting your car repaired?
(For a backstory, I was rear-ended by one of their clients.)

i have NJM and they are usually really quick about things. did the car go to one of their "certified" repair centers or another shop.
if you go through one of their certified places they pretty much just let the shop write teh ticket and work on th ecar.

They haven't done anything with the car at all. The guy never even calls me back; I end up calling him all the time.

They've been great as my insurance carrier, but I've never had to deal with them from the other side. I would go over the current guy handling your claim, and then report his ass to the boss. Even if you're not their client, they shouldn't be jerking you around for something that wasn't your fault.
Ok, so when I call him tomorrow, I should just ask for his Supervisor?
That's what I was planning on doing eventually, but I wasn't sure if the whole company was like this. It's good to know that they're not though.
Thanks for your help guys. I'll keep you updated :)

Yeah, I've never had problems dealing with NJM.... they have always been great for me and very quick to respond.
I was pretty stern with the guy this time around. I made sure to let him know that they'd be receiving a much larger bill if my hood or hatch open up while I'm driving.
After a few exchange of words, he made sure to get the people that are looking at my car to call me. He even called me back and confirmed that he did get ahold of them and they would be calling me within a day.
Guy is coming out on Thursday to look at the car at my work. I'll be with him, so hopefully I can get him to look underneath the car and everything.
Anything I should specifically make him look at? I was rear ended and then launched into the car into the front, so I'm definitely gonna have him look at the frame.
(BTW, thanks for all the help guys.)
