View Full Version : gettin my car painted in the begining of next year

Im planning on gettin two stripes up the center of the car that follow on the cowl hood. The cars gonna be straight black with chrome irocs. Not shure on what color to do the stripes, i was thinkin something alongs the lines of a chevy orange. What do you guys think would look good. thanks

I think silver would look better than orange if everything else was gonna be black.

Or no stripes at all would look great.

BUT If your dead set on stripes, either silver, or white.

some cars look good with stripes. but it is all a matter of getting the colors right. i can't remember seeing any black cars with stripes that looked that great.

I'd use a metallic silver for the stripes. Orange is ok but too much of a contrast and you'll probably get a lot of Halloween jokes. If you don't have a painter yet check out my website and shoot me a PM if you want to talk.

Thats good for a stock hood, but on a cowl its gonna look like crap.

Just leave it black. Black third gen camaro's with cowl hoods look so incredibly clean that even ground effect colors screw them up. My vote is for no stipes at all.

i got black stripes on the white camaro and had silver on the teal one, for you id go for silver if your gettin irocs, better yet paint some irocs black n just black out everything...thats my plan for the stang :twisted:
