okay- tonight, I got into an accident with the maro in this freakin rain we've been having.... anyway, I need some help, never had to do any parts at all with a car. I work at a GM dealership, so I'm wondering if it'd be cheaper to just get everything through the dealership with my discount (10% above dealer cost), or if I should start looking for parts and having them painted. What I need is a driver's side fender, driver's side quarter panel, and the driver's side power mirror. I'm going to post some pictures of the damage up- it really isnt that much, the most hurt parts were the quarter panel which is definitely going to need to be replaced and the front fender, which I can wait with although it's a little cracked. Any and all advice on how to get this done and the best ways to do it would be appreciated. Also, how do I deal with painting/getting it painted and how much will that cost? Thanks guys for the help.

Gonna go on a limb and say even with your discount GM prices will probably rape you

Well you could get a fender and mirror and bring it to a body shop, that quarter panel doesnt have to be replaced it can probally just be pulled. To replace a quarter panel on one of these cars is a bit of work. and some cutting, welding then smoothing out.
when i fixed my ta, i used all gm parts with my dads discount.......it was still more than the aftermarket parts but when we had both sitting in front of me you could just tell how awful the aftermarket would have fit
Aftermarket does fit like ****... Trust me. Your in hackettstown, just take it to Dale's on that road in front of Micky Ds (forgot the name of it) and get a quote. Or theres a guy over this way right before mine hill on rt 46 that does excellent work, its name is Backstreet Custom. My suggestion is to get a quote to see what your working with pricewise. Thats just my 2 cent. Good luck with everything, hope it works out the best with u.

hey guys, got a quote from JandD auto body in Washington, NJ. They quoted me 1849.93 for everything. This sound reasonably in the ballpark? Or should it be lower? Thanks.

Looks ballpark. If it was my car id just get another quote for backup. Whichever price is lower, or whichever place has more rep for good work Id say go for it. If you dont have time to get another quote, im sure a couple other ppl will give u a ballpark price. GL

Would these provide decent quality? Honestly one of the reason's im checking these out is at the moment I can't swing the 1800... it'll be a while before I can get that together. So anyone have any suggestions as far as places that would be good, maybe not the best, but passable? Thanks :)
