Im gonna be there with my equipment to tune and was thinking of just doing some small stuff on the cheap for anyone that needs it. Figure like $30 a person and I'll cover:
Code deletions for !Cats, !EGR, & !AIR
Disable COT(cat over temp) for cars with no cats
Gear changes
Thermostat turn on/off points
Rev limiter raising
Speed limiter removal

$50
Will cover everything above plus
Delete TM both engine & tranny
Delete CAGS in m6 cars
Adjust shift points in auto's

This is for any 98-02 ls1 fbody, 97-04 GTP & 97' v6 Fbody

pm me if interested.

Thanks
Bill

!cot, adjust shift points, delete TM, change your fan settings to reflect your 180 thermo...I think that would be a good start & really could grab you a good amount of power fairly cheap...i think craig gained a couple of tenths just by deleting cot & would only run you $50 Sunday if you need that stuff done.

i have a cat though, so you cant really do that i guess? i just thought about it after i posted, and i really need to start saving money for a trans. attention everyone, if i ever say im going to mod my car more, discourage me as much as possible until i have a new tranny

ps....what is TM?

It's up to you...I can delete cot & then add a bunch of fuel back in after 15 seconds in PE mode which is around where you'd finish a 1/4 mile...It is definitly a worth while mod.

mehh no lt1s Â*:?

I can do 96-97 lt1's but i'd need a commitment for full tunes from 2 people so I can get the software for it...the stuff aint cheap but I'd do the two tunes basically for the cost of the 2 licenses.

damn another reason why i should go sunday but i cant  hmm lets see $30 vs. $200 like you originally told me (granted thats for everything right?) ill definately hit you up for the tuning bill after i get my exhaust

ps....what is TM?

TM = torque management. it is programming that pulls out timing around your shifts. in auto cars eliminating it can be worth a tenth or two pretty easy.

dont you have a 98+ v6 car?

if so he needs the lisence, hence the regular pricing for a full tune.

f-body full tunes run $175...so if i could get two people lined up it would be close enough to the amount out of my pocket($379) to get the program & licenses. Full tunes basically for me consist of:

Remap of the VE & maf tables-if applicible
Rev limiter adjustments
speed limiter raised
TM deleted-if applicible
!CAGS
delete any applicible codes necessary for passing emissions & such
tuning for idle, part & wot using various stock sensors as well as my w/b to verify & adjust fueling at wot
shift point adjustments for automatic cars
fan turn on/off point adjustments
timing adjustments to get max power

off the top of my head thats about it...all depends on the car & combo...some require more work then others to get dialed in.

yeah a new license runs me $199-$250 generally speaking so my first tune is basically a wash. Wish I could do them for less but thats my up front cost unfortunatly.

I'm interested in the LT1 tune...but am I the only one? TransAm4life, PMed me from the Ls1tech forum saying that you were going to be there to do some tuning. Any updates on whether LT1 tuning will be a definate? I have a 96 btw. It already has been completely retune when the engine was rebuilt, but i think it's running kind of rich and have been looking for a second opinion, if you will, ever since the motor has been broken in. Now the sad part is the shop that I had the motor built at sold their LT1 tuning software so they couldn't retune even if I wanted them to. Let me know, thanx :D

btw, if we get more than 2 ppl for the lt1 tune, will it be less than $175?

Unfortunatly your the only one that I know of. Alex has a 95 which is still obd1 and completely different software & hardware then your car needs. Also the New hardware I'd need to purchase is $379+shipping so two cars prepaid would be the bare minimum since I'd be loosing money initially and on top of that taking my time to do your tunes. So as far as a discount on the third I wouldnt count on it. I think considering most shops wont touch lt1's any longer & if you wanted to do the tuning yourself your initial investment would be over a grand pretty easily its a pretty sweet deal on your end.
