I'm posting this for my best friend who can no longer afford this car. My buddy Dave is a little bitch and never beat this car. I would like to be the first to say that this car is an animal and the mid-range on this car would DEFINATELY rival a stock LT1 car. It's got a little less then 70k miles and the dealer offered him 20k trade-in so he's looking to get 21k for it but you he's negotiable. The car does NOT have a clear title because a tree fell on the convertible top last year and damaged it. The car was fixed by a reputable shop in this area and I would say the car was brought back to 95% of how it was. Features are as follows:

Black with Black Leather Interior
5-Speed Manual
Brand new Nitto Neo Tires
Brand new OEM brakes
Car was just serviced two weeks ago.
Exterior is pretty damn good but I think some of the rims have curb rash cause the previous owner was an old dude.

I can vouch for how mechanically sound this car is cause I have seen every repair this car has had. Not to mention my family also owns a Saab vert.

I know no one on this board would want a wrong wheel drive car but if you know anyone who is please spread the word.

Tell you boy to take that dealer up on the offer...PP on it through edmunds is like 14 grand and your say its at 95% because of a tree falling on it...i say have him take the trade in and run. JMHO

definitly trade that bastard in and run for the hills with a new car. once the dealer takes the car, its their problem. We took a slavaged car in on a trade, but we didnt know it was a wreck until after the person had their new car. sucks for the dealership, but great for the consumer.

yeah but he cant afford this car... or a new one for that matter. and only saab gave him that price cause they were just gonna throw a sticker on it and sell it for a little mark up. viggens are few and far between. he asked me to post up on these boards so thats what i did

i dont want him to sell it. the car is awesome. i told his lazy ass to get a job if he cant afford it. whatever, if anyone has any interest let me know

well while searching ebay for salvage vehicles, like i usually do, i came across a 99 viggen (non vert) with a salvage title and unrepaired damage, considerable damage to the front drivers side. The bidding on that still has like 5 days to go and was at around 2900, Considering about an 6k repair cost(i didnt check the pics too closely though and thats my quick assumption) That car would go for about 8-10k with the salvage title once repaired. if that gives an accurate idea of the market, your friends 2001 vert with 70k would probably range around 12-14k, just about the BB value, but that would call for it to be 100% complete. If he cant afford the car, tell him to get it the last 5% completed and dump it as is, if he cant even afford a new car, dont bother trading it in and taking new payments(unless he trades it in for a cheaper car and the dealer will give him $ back(somehtign which just doesnt happen). If he sells it privately, he can pay off what he owes(or most of it, and then he can look for a used car he can afford.

where I work , a guy traded in a 2004 Audi A8 for a 300C. he got the 300 and about $15K. We had the A8 sold before we even got it!
