My steering sucks..plain and simple lol. When I go over bumps or ruts the front end walks and I'm constantly correcting the steering. I have 275 tires up front. Think I should bother replacing my wonderbar? TDS makes a nice one that is thicker than stock and only costs $50. I was thinking of replacing that, getting a 36mm sway bar, poly bushing kit, and an end link kit..prolly tie rod ends too with the poly bushings. I've looked underneath and don't see anything cracked or broken. I guess about a year ago I noticed the infamous cracking behind the steering box..that was welded and still is fine. I was just thinking that the stock piece is almost 17 years old, was meant to support 245 tires..the drivers side tire took a good hit. Maybe with a stronger wonderbar and replacing that stuff with thicker components would benefit me..especially running the 275's. What do you guys think?

adjust your steering box...where the pitman arm goes in maybe?

Adjusting the pitman arm just controls the the alignment of your steering wheel inside the car.

does your steering shaft have a rag joint? if it does, that might be a little loose. just a thought.

yes your car should have a rag joint, i really havent seen one that hasnt. if its worn out you will get some play in the steering wheel. all the things you mentioned will help (front end rebuild kit etc.) but the biggest problem your having is the same one i have with the 275's up front. all the damn ruts in the cheap asphalt used by some towns and my car just goes where it wants to i have to force it into a straight line. theres one section of 42 when im going to work where i cant get into the middle lane or change lanes for about a mile cuz its too dangerous at highway speeds.

That makes me feel better that other people have this issue as well Â* I'll probably just end up replacing all my suspension components (some at a time) and slowly get on top.Â*

Yeah wide tires will cause the car to pull with the grooves in the road. My truck tires are 12.5" wide and I can't keep that thing straight on the highway without a lot of wheel correction.

My 275's like to wonder all over the road too, its really bad at low speeds, sometimes I think cops will think Im drunk they way my car acts + avoiding pot-holes & raised manhole covers all over these crappy roads.

My front suspension is pretty original, except for the shocks & springs.

Yeah the tires are the major thing. My fronts on the Z will pull all over on crappy roads. A front end rebuild like you said wouldnt be a bad idea either.
