Does anyone know how much drive time is required after the computer is reset or codes go away? On the 96 SS I get an occasional SES light for a random miss but the light will go out after some driving. Will the SES light take the computer out of readiness mode for inspection?

Bill would be the man to ask on this one, his GTP failed for the readiness tests and then he did something to make it pass

It takes whatever it needs to run a full system check, no set time. However if you go to a local shop then only hook up to the ALDL for 98 and newer vehicles. That's what I do with my 97 pickup.

depends...most will take a few starts some like evap can take a good amount of driving ~100 miles

Hey Bill, do you have anything that can scan the 96 OBDII? I'd like to take a look at the codes and history to see if I can get a better idea of where the problem is.

yeah...not sure what your hours are but if you can stop by the dot building durning my lunch tomorrow 12-1pm or from 4:15 i can probably scan your car...I'll bring my laptop & cables with me if you'd like. If that doesnt work maybe some night after work.

How about thursday before you head over to Matt's? I'm not driving the car to work so it's in the garage during the day.
