What's up everyone? Just wanted to say a final adios to all the great people I've met throughout my membership. Unfortunately I've been forced to give up said membership due to the posting of a "lude" picture. Now I understand that it was crude and unnecessary, and that I violated the PG13 rules of the lounge, and in doing so I should be punished. I would have gladly learned my lesson via warning, but unfortunately that was not the case. If I did offend anyone I apologize and ask your forgiveness. I would also like to add, that if the rules of the lounge allow no content above a PG13 rating, I am obviously not the first to break said rule. Once again I accept my mistake, and wish that a different form of repremandation was offered. I'll continue to show my face at the trucks every Wednesday for my weekly helping of fat bitch, and perhaps make the trip up to north jersey to "kill" my buddy JM, but don't expect to see me at any official "meets". Take it easy!

I ask that the administrators keep their remarks out of this thread and allow it to remain open, to allow the members of NJFBOA to voice their opinion on the matter, regardless of it possibly being negative towards me. If either of you wish to add your two cents please keep it between you and I, after all, I'm the only person who needs to know what you have to say.

Well while I agree with them that... certain pictures you posted were way above and beyond anything ive seen here and that you should be punished for that, you and I both know it's not a permanent ban and that it's your choice to come back when both sides have cooled down or not, and it would be godo to have you back sometime.

I dont understand. j0n admits he knows what he did wrong, he accepts the punishment gracefully and he knows its only temporary. So why is he leaving for good? We are all aware of the PG-13 rule and I know many have been warned to keep the topics within that realm, myself included. Its just like playing a sport. they have rules. if you break a rule, you get a penalty and have to sit out for a little while to cool off. You dont get banned from the sport, or in this case the site, forever.

j0n, if you decide to come back, I'll welcome you with open arms. you know that. but if you're really set in leaving, well, I guess there's nothing I can do or say to make you change your mind. whatever you decide upon, I'll still be your friend :wink:

that really was the only way for them to react to it. if they locked the thred, people would still see it. if they deleted the thread, anyone that had anything to do with it would get all pissy bacause "their thread got deleted for no good reason!". warnings work well, but not if something is severe enough to justify a temporary ban. i dont know if I saw the pic or not. I saw some pics last night, but I dont know if they were the ones that caused the upset.

I dont know exactly what went down, but I put a lot of faith into the admins decision making ability. dont read this the wrong way, I'm not kissing admin ass, and I'm not siding with j0n either. I dont know exactly what happened, so I am stating how I feel based on the facts available to me.and the way it seems to me is j0n posted something way over the top and the admin(s) decided that a temporary ban was the best solution. j0n is pretty hard headed though, so I doubt he will be back anytime soon, even after the ban is lifted :?

As for someone breaking the PG13 rule.... give them a warning.... maybe temp ban... then allow them back.

We here have a good group of people.... sure there is a bit of ***** talking that goes back and forth but it is all in fun.

Well, I did see the post and what was posted was surely overboard on j0n's part. Now in my opinion I was thinking nothing really of it. I mean, almost every other day I see a post about NWS material on the Lounge and I dont think twice about dodging it, plus the post was done in the wee hours of the morning and the amount of viewing it got was probably at a minimal. What I really expected to happen was the thread would get deleted and j0n would get a nice little email or PM telling him to not do it again, indeed a warning was all I expected since we are on the internet and god knows you can see anything at any time by just typing the wrong name of a URL. j0n is a nice kid, a little goofy at times but nothing that every single board doesn't have already. I also beleive, like everyone else is saying once he cools down he will be back for sure. He is a good guy and a loss to the forums in many ways, his random bs always keeps the boards exciting, and on a serious note the kid does know stuff about cars. Plus, its not like he is the first to post material rated above the PG-13 type on the Lounge, maybe this is just a hint that we need a BS Section dedicated to random junk thats not work safe or jokes or calls out on other people I dont know I am not in charge of the boards so thats not my call. But like all said, its j0n's decision and I for one hope he comes back though. I mean do you really want to be just left with that Koll = crap guy?! :lol: (jk Koll I dont even know you, but figured I would join the bandwagon!)

that said, sometimes a place is so much of a hangout that you begin to feel like it is more than it really is. Â*think about how many hundreds of people that come through here on a given day, then think about the professionalism that is a responsibility of a place like that. Â*it's not like this place is not advertised, not available, or a dark corner of the internet. Â*some people spend a lot of time to make things happen around here, and there is a responsibility that goes along with that. Â*not to mention the fact that there are underage members whose parents might not think it's such a good idea for little johnny to see certain adult material. Â*once you invite the public into your little corner of the universe, you have to expect some universal rules will apply.

this issue goes much deeper and farther than some of you are thinking...
