Now I have a slight idea how Burt Reynolds felt....

I was driving home from work the other day with my TA. I was driving down Rte. 34 at about 5:30, it was dusk so I had the fog lights on but the headlights still down. I washed the car over the weekend so it was looking pretty good.

I get behind a school bus and all of a sudden there are 7 or 8 high school girls looking at me and waving. I give the wave back and go to pass the bus. As I am doing that, 6 or 7 arms come out the side of the bus and start waving to me. There was a Windstar behind me and needless to say when he got beside the bus, all the arms went right back in.

If only I would have had this car when I was in high school.... :twisted:

Anyone else have any stories like this?

yes sir, happened to me too with a school bus. Then as i had it parked on the side of the road buying hotdogs from a stand someone told me that i had a nice car. One day i drove pass this pick up and got honked and gave thumbs up at. Feels kinda good when people do that to you. i've done my fair share of giving people the thumbs up and nice car too.

Yep, happened to me in the beginning of September. The back of the bus was full of georgous senior girls. A couple waved, while some were smiling. Needless to say, right before I turned off, some EMO mooned me. :shock:

ohh yea the joys of trans am... :evil: So today after finishing my work i go to my car go to start it and nothing... woopi doo!!! now it sits on the parking lots and i hope someone ****ing destorys it cuz i hate it, ****ing car...

although i dont have a TA i do have a firebird that looks like a TA to the untrained eye. its happened 2x for me here at willy p, ive driven outta lot 6 towards exit 1 and when i get right infront of the apts. (at the stop sign) theres these girls screaming and waving, so i rip it and theyre all yelling and ****. the second time was last thursday, i was stopped infront of the apts. and a group of girls started waving and such at me, so i drive off then stop, and the come over and we ******** for a second or two and that was that.... and oh yea on the road/highways i get alotta looks from ppl :)

Thanks for the thought. My Mother acctually surprised me with that for my Birthday about 2 weeks ago. When I enter my car in the High Perfoprmance Pontiac Show in April I will definatly have to put it somewhere in the car. Thanks again!

Yeah, if the Mrs found out about that I would be in trouble...

This brings me to my next point in what is wrong with the new GTO. I have driven the car and it is superior to my TA in every way except in the looks department. It is a great car but it will not turn heads like a F-Body. If I am paying $34,000 for a car, I want attention.

Do a burnout at each stoplight you come to. Guaranteed to get attention, though might cost you a bit. :D

/goes out, drops the top down and looks for busses.

Yesterday I was making a left turn when a bus was making a left too. we were next to each other and this young (12 or 13) year old kid sticks his out out the window and says "Hey Mister, Nice car"

The kids at the bus stop near my house all stood and watched as I backed the 96 SS out of the garage and then drove down the street. It was kind of funny watching all their heads turn at the same time as I drove by them.
