haha I knew someone was going to say that.

Actually the rib never attached itself after a surgery about a year ago so it was just hanging there and popped out through my skin occasionally.

So they decied to just take part of it out so it wouldn't pop through.

IIRC, Nick has some heart condition, and they've had to crack his chest open a time or two for surgery....
