i didnt make it cuz my plugs and wires took longer then expected thanks to some SNAFUs (i broke two plugs, 1 i didnt need and 1 i had previously changed which was damn near brand new) we got done around 11:30-midnightish.... and my car is still screwing up, gonna read the code and see what it says now... prolly the same damn thing as before....

I turn around to start trying to figure out how to route the belt for my car, I turn back around 10 min later "yo brandon you get that boot off yet?" "no" and the 10 minutes later the same thing... so it aint y fault

What code are you getting? Â*I just went through some troubleshooting on my 96 and the P0300 misfire code was pretty misleading considering the real problem turned out to be loose EVAP purge lines and charcoal canister falling apart inside. But I did the plug wires anyway and that took almost 8 hours!

Brando56894
11-03-2005, 02:24 PM
did i say it was your fault? i think someone has a guilty conscience! and you know how hard those damn boots are to get off! also does anyone know a place around wayne where i can get NGK-55 iridium spark plugs? i destroyed one last night tryin to get it out cuz i forgot that i had changed it previously

damn 8 hours! that sucks! mine took me and kasey (and his dad at times) about 2 hours or so, the boots were the only real pain to get off everything else was easy... and the code i was getting was the misfire code (pretty sure its P0300) im gonna go to KFC after i get done this work i have to do for class and record the code then come back here and figure out what it is, ill let you know...

hey man i dont know how the hell you managed to break that plug, AND my old plug that I gave you to put in... you're lucky you broke it clean off at the ceramic and the nut was still there so i could get it out...

Brando56894
11-03-2005, 07:09 PM
yea idk how i managed to do that either, 2x!

If you have a socket that is slightly worn or a cheap brand, it's easy to crack spark plugs with a bad socket. I broke 2 one time before I stopped and looked at the socket and realized it was slightly worn and allowing it to twist on the plug and put force on the ceramic.
