it is island's last test and tune of the year. anyone down for a last blast before winter sets in?
now that my car is drivable again i will get it into racing shape. shooting for the 12 second pass first trip to teh track.

Im pretty sure Im in. Â*I might call someone to see how busy it is in the morning, and head out from their. Â*I really dont want to get stuck with another 2 runs in one day, but I also want to hit the time I want before the end of the season.

Theirs also a slight chance I can only stay for alittle while, due to plans for Monday night.

if you wait around for the crowd to build up before you get there you will only get 2 runs in retard. just hike up your skirt and come to teh track without it being a major production. jeez.

dont kno, i think this will be the frist time its out. its a big tire car. the last chevelle he was running ran a best of 10.02 on 10" street tire. but now hes got this 69, hes gonna return the 70 ss back to orginal

jr my **** will be fixed this sat morning, i got my new diesel 3500... OMG the new diesel motor is f-ing insane 360 hp/650 torque!!!! spins 4 tires liek its nothing, GM def did theyre homework on this newer motor!!

*edit* dont know if ill be there or not now, my truck wont have the rcommended 500 miles on it for the break in period. i will keep you posted.

I'd run him, but I think I'm put away for the season. Burnt up some clutches in the trans last weekend and will probably just send everything out to get freshened up for next year.

JR1.Well some updates, car is ready to go, but my part of the K-member thats holds the rack in place is cracked and i don't think i'm going to trust it,if i get it fixed, it's right were the front of the car slams down on the ground, after a wheelstand, i'll keep you's posted. 5 days of working on a new fuel cell and pump,battery,MSD Digital 6 plus, went over whole car and the front end is holding me up.JR1.

Well some updates, car is ready to go, but my part of the K-member thats holds the rack in place is cracked .

how bad is the crack? can it be V'ed open a little and welded stright or is it spider webed?

i did well since the last time i went to the track i added my 2 1/2in downpipe since mine broke, cutout, bullet, !cat, and put the car back to full weight ie subs, amps, back seats blah blah blah all in the car...tires at stock pressure and a full tank of gas(filled up last night) so it was in FULL street trim & then some :lol:

went from 14.2@97 to 14.0@98.87 ...air wasnt as good as march when i hit the track last but not bad i guess...did see iat temps over 100 in my first run. Kinda dissappointed that i didnt run the 13 but im happy i knocked off 2 tenths & gained a full mph with nothing more then a couple of misc. exhaust mods and a little tuning...wouldve be quicker if i didnt have 120lbs of gas in the car, or 100lbs worth of speakers but whatever...theres always next year lol.

man i have no clue how that car passed tech...the battery is held in with zip ties, the tranny cooler as well...not to mention the big ass crack as well as a bunch of other crap wrong with that hunk...they spent 5 mins with my car looking over stuff i think james leaned out the window & gave the guy oral or something lol

omg! it was soo busy yesterday...thanx for the pictures. I can't believe there was a Ford GT there and I missed all of this. I saw the Vipers rolling around the staging lanes, but I had to leave basically as soon as I got there bcause I found out my car was leaking coolant! This is after I paid $30 to get in of course. The car was fine when I left the house too...

Yea. I'm giving up on the T/A at the tracik till i have a couple g's to put in the car. Ran a crapy time yesterday ans when i hit second the ass end started to kick out n back pedeld and got back in it but im not happy with the time at all. I'm still the only kid with a slightly modded Lt1 that runs slower than stock times. LOL

I'm not going to make it, car still has a misfire or some, even with the new MSD Digital 6 plus ignition box, seat belts are out;got new ones but to short were it mounts to roll bar, new fuel cell is all in hatch,new fuel pump doesn't work after making new fuel lines,and everything just isn't going good. JR1.UPDATE !!!!, My misfire was coming from my crank trigger pick-up, got one from a friend -car sounds totally different, so all that new MSD stuff i bought was for nothing, so in the Classifeds my old stuff is for sale CHEAP. JR1.

Passed tech too. I told the guy it runs high 14's... I borrowed the slicks/ skinnies from a friend... and it was my second time racing..... then justin pointed out my 2 gold eliminator stickers on the rear hatch?!?!?!

Pulled a tire off the ground N/A :) 79 camarodiva got some great pictures of my bird doing launch/ burn outs :) thanks!
