Reposted from my ad on TGO:
I have here for sale is the perfect winter project. With 130k on the body and 43K original miles on the LB9 5.0L V8 TPI motor, this car is just plain awesome. I've been driving it for the past month with intentions of restoring it over the winter, but I will have another project to work on. My loss is your gain. I have fixed about 95% of the mechanical problems which included an abundance of things.
Specs include:
88 WS6 Package with 130k on the body
LB9 5.0L TPI V8 with 43,XXX original miles swapped from a wrecked Formula
3.42 OR 3.73 Posi Rear (When I did the driveshaft count, it was kinda hard to tell, it turned a little more than 3 and a half times)
700-r4 Transmission (Dunno if it was swapped out of the wrecked Formula as well, but I can tell ya it shifts really nicely)
Interior is in great shape, I replaced alot of the rotted panels with newer looking ones.
Carpet is in great shape
T/A Conversion Bumpers and Ground effects
T/A Taillights
New Items:
Flowmaster 3 inch catback with a catco hi-flow cat
Custom Cool Air Intake
MAF Sensor
Spark plugs, distributor, wires, oil was just changed.
New battery
Refurbished alternator
Wipers changed
Ready to be inspected!
Flaws:
There is an unknown clicking coming from the driver side engine bay when accelerating under WOT. I've spent about 4 weeks trying to figure out the problem, but I am just stumped. Its not a collapsed lifter because the noise only does it when the car is in motion under WOT and not revving in park.
Power steering pulley is just a tad bent, it was like that when I got it. The belt squeals for about 3 seconds after startup.
I'd say about 90% of the exterior prepwork for paint is complete. The car is primer gray with black T/A groundeffects, front bumper, and rear bumper. The car comes with a spoiler just like the standard firebirds, but its much wider (I believe it came with a zig-zag cowl hood). The underpanels are rust free, but the driver and passenger fender have small rust spots under the ground effects.
With this purchase, Ill throw in Flowtech shorty headers I've aquired from somebody that them sitting in his garage for a while.
The best offer I receive will be the one to drive it home! Ill even drive the car up to 50 miles from 07847, if it's to your house or to a halfway meeting spot. I am looking in the area of $2000.
Also, pictures are upon request. I will send them out via Email or via AOL AIM (xKanesV8 is my SN). Until then, I have two videos that show how the car rides. For a 305TPI, it has alot of pep, it almost feels as if the front of the frame lifts just a little bit under acceleration! The first video is the clicking noise, and do to my camera you can barely hear it. Second is another quick run down the street on WOT. Take care!

*EDIT* Sorry, forgot to menton the car has NON LEAKING TTOPS! Remember that week of rain in NJ? There wasn't one drop in the interior :-D
