Kids! :hammer: Actually, it's kinda scary to see how many people get all fired up about these video games. People want games that are like realistic, but most of them can't deal with real life. I need to remember to buy stock in video game companies around Aug-Sep so when they release new games before Christmas the stock will spike and I can sell for a healthy profit.:)

i just got home from waiting in line for 11 hrs with my buddy, we were 3 ppl away from the limit. the best buy in deptford only got 72 360s and like twelve ********** jumped into line right before they counted and they got counted, pushing the line back. but yeah im beat tired

yeah why kill yourself for a game system that as of now has crap for games and wont hit its stride until summer of next year, same goes for the ps3. i will buy both about a year or 2 after they have come out when the price drops 50 bucks and there are quality games available, thats what i did with my ps2 and xbox. hey koll you mod your xbox? give me some websites or info about it if you could, im a pc modder but totally forgot all about xbox modding until recently.

I think I am done with console gaming. Id rather get the game for my PC and play it on there. Im much better at PC games than console games anyways. All I need to do is upgrade my video card and get another gig of ram and ill be perfectly set to take on any game that comes my way at this point. good luck with the Xbox360 though. Who knows maybe ill get the itch to get one in a few months when the demand is much less. I remember sitting outside of Best Buy for a PS2 just for the shippment never to arrive :-(

I'm waiting till spring to get an xBox 360....mostly because of PGR3. Can't wait to play it!

To those who want to play old xbox games on the 360, make sure that you buy the complete system. The 360 is based on an IBM PowerPC chip rather than an intel pentium, so the architecure of the system is comletely different. There is software emulation available for download to provide compatibility with 212 old xbox games.

I did the solder chip cause I knew how to solder.

i think sony would be pretty stupid to not make PS3 backwards compatible. i didnt know 360 was released already, thought it was gonna be released later. from what ive heard PS3 is gonna kick the crap outta 360 graphics wise, i think it has somewheres around 8 or 9 GPUs (Graphics Processing Units), like everyone else said i'll prolly wait awhile till i get an new system, i finally just bought a PS2 in september! :lol: and also waiting for 11 hours is insane....

Im waiting to see what PS3 has to offer as well. Im not a huge mircosoft fan especially the 360, the line up looks pretty weak so far.

My first console was a Coleco Vision when I was 3 or 4....I don't think I got an NES (which I do still own) until I was 8 or 9.

you know you're not. i wasn't going to bring it up, though...
i bought Sears rebadged Atari. i played pong when i was 8 or 9. one of the richer families that lived near my grandmother bought it when it first came out. they were nasty, left burned in images on the black and white TV.

I got 2 Atari's w/ a bunch of games. NES with many games. SNES with many games. Brother has the N64. I got outta consoles and went into PC games, but it seems every other game I was upgrading. Then I went to my modded Xbox

i still play my nes, ive collected about 40 games from flea markets and ****, and ya know what? most of the games i have, i could beat or get really far in when i was younger and now, i cant even get anywhere close to beating them!! they are harder now than before!

We might still have our original Pong game. I know we still have our Intellivision. I know I have my original handheld football game, I think it was Coleco. Once the PS and SNES came out it has gone crazy with these games.

I like the Xbox-S controllers....never got used the the PS1 and 2 controllers. Plus their graphics suck compared to Xbox. I've heard that the PS3 is really gonna step it up though....

yes tim your that old! actually we had one of the late atari systems i think it was the 2600 maybe when i was like 4 or 5. never heard of the other two though. heres an old one.. anyone ever have the sega master system? it was pre genesis, i didnt have it though and dont know anyone who has, maybe it was just a japan thing idk...

funny, isn't it? people were fighting over the cascading "icicle" lights when they first came out. we had a couple of storage trailers behind the store i was working at around that time, and i happened to be helping to empty one trailer one day when, lo and behold, there were 20 cases (12 per case, 300 light strings) in that trailer... i brought 4 of them home that day and was one of the handful in our town that displayed them that year. now, everyone has them. why can't people learn patience? do they really think their kids will think they're heroes for being able to get the latest/greatest console?
