View Full Version : Job search
once the new year is here, I'm gonna be looking for a new job. I like where I work now and I get along with everyone there, but I need to make more money. Right now I'm only making $9.95 an hour and thats not flat rate either. I've got four ASE certifications and I'm waiting on the results of the other four I took recently. So if anyone knows of any dealership openings or performance shop openings cough*ttp*cough  it would be much appreciated.
Oh yeah, I'm pretty good at welding. MIG and TIG. Plus I can TIG weld aluminum. I can do body work sort of well, I'm sure if I did more of it I'd get a lot better though. I'm good with sheet metal fabrication too.

Put your resume out there and let them come to you. People are always looking for help. One of my friends who's a complete jackass with no ASE's yet was able to find a job for 12.50 at some garage based on having 5 years experience alone.
Or if your good at welding, find a chassis shop and ask if they're hiring.

SEARS AUTO CENTER BITCH!!
Jesus, with your creds, I could FINALY fire, or have fired, several people!!! I wish I was the ****ing manager, I really do. My "top" tech makes 9.50 an hour, plus labor commission. He pulls in about 1600 for a pay period (2 weeks).
Seriously, and this goes out to anyone that likes to work on cars that can work in a team, if you want a job, jesus christ PM me so I can get some of these lazy sob's fired. Im serious. I need several hard working techs that know what they are doing to be in the shop. I have TOO many techs that complain that they dont make any money, but when I come out with a service ticket, they are "out to lunch" and no where to be found. Anyone from battery and tire guys to brake and alignment techs. If you just want to start out, and you are an ambitious person, we will train you till your hearts content.
