View Full Version : NJ junkyards...where?
Ok i am looking for junkyards in the NJ/NY/CT area. I am not looking for f body parst though. I need to find a yard that would have a selection of parts for a 94-03 s10 pickup or blazer, jimmy, bravada, s15 etc. i really just need front sheetmetal for a 94-03 and a 98-03 grille and bumper. like id need a drivers door too. And if possible, id love to find a 95 blazer 2 door i can take the gas tank from. If anyone knows about yards that may have what i need, let me know, and i'd prefer a you-pull-it yard. thanks in advance. -paul

Yes, Spechts is only a few minutes from me, i could swing by there tomorrow and take a look. Also, there is CAL(Central Auto Liquidators) in Franklin, NJ, and GI (PineBrook) all fairly close. another is SARS in Jefferson i think

lacey used auto parts - actually used to be in lacey, now it's up by jersey city. it's connected to the statewide computer system, so if they don't have it they can get it for you. their prices are reasonable.
cosmo's recycling - berkeley township - two yards, one on route 9 and one on double trouble road. i'm not sure what they're got, but a few years ago they were known for "pay one fee, carry out what you can". of course, that was back before i actually needed a service like that and they haven't done it recently.

theres a real big one kinda near stroudsburg PA, this place is HUGE! its built around a quarry, has different sections and such. It's called captains auto salvage i believe. it would just be a trip down rt 80 for you, but its not a u-pull-it because of liability stuff.

If she doesn't wanna go, give me a ring. I'm on vacation next week, and am always up for a junkyard voyage. :)

Theres one in Newark on ave P that will look in a computer and tell you who has the part if they don't have it.

I've been lucky with GI looking for S-10 type parts. Paul if you go their, all you have to be is firm on how much money you have and you'll just about get it for what you want to pay.
GI is a walk around place, so you can always take a trip and scout out the place first.
