The shield comes with an ID card. If pulled over you will be asked to show it.

one must be a pba member, have the shield id and work id, and it is also registered to the licence plate of the vehicle its in which has to be rigistered in the same name......

and they have months where they send memos to the different pba's to tell their members to take them out.....hence people that have them that arent supposed to dont know to take them out, and get pulled over for having them

there are 2 shields there are the "supporter" shields and the "member" shields. members are for officers. They aren't just PBA either there are is also the FOP. PBA= Policeman's Benefeciary Assoc. and FOP= Faternal Order of Police to which i'm a member.

That is a crap law, more so for those of us that live close to PA. Those people (on average) loooove to drive in the left lane. I usually hop on the highway and park myself in the middle or right lane and set the cruise to 75-80. The only time I move is if someone is in the lane in front of me going slower.

getting a ticket for passing on the right on a multi-lane highway is :bs:

i would've asked the cop why he had targeted me; why not ticket all of the people in the left lane that've been there for hours and don't move over to the right like they're supposed to (for which there is also a law). sounds like the cop had your number.

he said he followed me for 4 miles and finally threw his lights on when he was smack dab on my ass (can someone say tailgating?? ) i was in the left lane, there was a car infront of me, and this ******* was shining his lights right in my eyes so i decided to pass the car infront of me to get away from him, then the ******* promptly pulls me over and i come to a stop on the left shoulder the 2nd thing he says to me is "dont ever stop on the left shoulder again!" and makes me move. this is why i wanna get the hell outta jersey....

ive never ever heard of someone getting a ticket for passing ont the right of a multi lane highway, that **** happens every second. the no passing on the right law applies to single lane roads where you would move into oncoming traffic to pass on the left. you cant go on the right because the other driver cant see you (blind spot) and you would pose a danger to pedestrians. id imagine he gave you that ticket because he really couldnt come up with anything good. besides, you really, really pissed him off by pulling into the left shoulder, dont you know proticol for that kind of thing?!!
