To anyone considering buying, selling or trading with Eric read this:
Incident #1 involved little g(craig) sold eric a tranny that G had gotten used from a person on another board. Craig eventually realized he had little use for the tranny so sold it to eric with an agreed upon price of $350...they met up & eric said he was short on money & would pay him when he got paid & gave him $100 of the $350 owed. Craig, like most people, took him on his word & handed over the tranny in hopes of getting the remaining $250. Days went by with no $ to be found. Weeks went by with craig contacting eric with excuse after excuse why he hadnt given him the money. In the meantime Eric installs the tranny(mind you he did an auto to manual tranny conversion using Craigs tranny) he finally gets it installed & within a week he realizes theres a problem with the tranny. He decides hes not going to pay craig for the tranny at this point & blames Craig for selling him a bad tranny so now craig is out of a tranny & $250 for trusting someone.
Incident #2 another member on here Chummma apparently lent 2 rims/DR's to eric to use temporarily...Eric preceeds to beat the tires down to the cord. In the meantime C asked eric repeatedly to bring the rims/tires to him up at one of his clubs meets which was ~15 miles away. Eric never brough them. And now Chummma & a good portion of CI isnt very happy with him to say the least.
Incident #3 mine comes last since it involves the first two parties parts  I traded for erics converted 98 a few months back obviously with minimal hopes of it even running/moving when i first got it considering it would be a project car. I went to erics house & looked the car over real quick...didnt look horrible but knew it would need a good amount of work just by looking at it. Eric AAA's it up to my house at which time it has Chumma's rims/tires on it which at the time I didn't know the story nor did I know they were chummma's, eric just said "my friends". Anywayz when eric brought the car he also didnt pack up the muffler with the car...not a big deal I told him I'd come down & pick up the muffler & the auto tranny he still had knowing that craigs old tranny was somehow broken. After looking over the car I noticed the large near footlong crack in the bellhousing of the tranny which I suspect wasnt there when eric put it in the car so I'll assume that when Craig handed it over the tranny didnt have a large crack in it seeing that anyone other then maybe Stevie wonder couldve spotted it in a second of looking at it. I bugged eric about the rims/tires that were origonally on the car knowing I had to give these rims/tires back to someone...thats when eric told me they were chummmas and that he had my rims . I told eric "ok np I'll work it out with chummma since I know him" So I pm Ch & find out that eric was supposed to have given these rims/tires back months ago & that Chummma didnt have my rims/tires. Fast foward I IM eric telling him what Chummma had told me & that I would like my Muffler, Tranny, rims/tires...eric tells me he put the muffler on his own vehicle, but i can have the tranny/tires. So I go to pick up the Tranny/tires/rims at a minimum.
Come to find out he had my camaro rims/tires on his car as well. So We take the rims/tires off of his car & I throw the tranny in my trunk. He agrees that once he gets paid he'll get a new muffler for himself & I'll get the muffler that I was supposed to get in the first place. Now here I am another month later & eric tells me he was rearended meaning that muffler is pretty much trashed, I don't know if chummma ever got his rims/tires back that I gave back to eric to handle & Craig is out a tranny & $250.
Bottom line be careful when dealing with him.
i wonder what his responce will be

you told me on AIM that you were rear ended..i didnt post this until a few days afterwords so you've cursed yourself apparently. As far as Craigs T5 I will say it again there is a large 8-12in crack in the bellhousing that wouldve easily been seen when you made the purchase or upon installation seeing that its still on the car & I was able to see it, take pictures & post them on this very forum days after receiving the car. As far as a muffler goes thats very generous is that gonna be when you get paid? Don't bother...I've got a few people that have offered their stockers so im set. This was just a warning to anyone that will deal with you in the future. Did/has roshan gotten his rims/tires back as of yet? I severely doubt it at this point. Your not honest otherwise I'd have my catback & roshan would have his rims/tires & craig would have the money owed to him. If you want to settle your debt send craig a check for $250 & show up at a CI meet & give Roshan his rims...I'm done going back and forth with you for something that I shouldnt have to fight over.

the t5 from craig was previously damaged, so why pay honeswtly for something thats no use?
this bothers me greatly. craig is prolly temost honest person i have ever met in my life, and teh most forgiving too.
i know which trans he sold you, i saw it with my own eyes no more than a few hours before he met up with you when he stopped here. THERE WAS NO VISIBLE DAMAGE ON THE TRANS!!! we had also checked it over very throughly running it through teh gears while turning the input shaft by hand and looking for signs of binding when craig received it, again, there was no sign of any damage.
i even saw you after the install at the south jersey fudds meet and you said it drove fine for several days before it "stopped working". during the same conversation you also stated that you had started teh car in gear and were jsut learning how to drive stick.
the recently discovered physical damage to teh case of the trans is clearly from contact with teh starter. the starter or trans were either not lined up or bolted in correctly and the starter hit the bell, causing the bell to crack and the starter to be ripped off the block.
i have also known bill prolly almost as long as you have been alive and have never heard anyone complain about getting a raw deal from him. he has no need to lie in this situation since so many people around here already respect him and his abilities around a car.
i hope you resolve these issues honestly and soon.
I'm thinking that the bellhousing got cracked because the trans didnt sit flush against the back of the block and he tried to make it flush by tightening the bolts to bring the two together.
In any event, this is really not a good situation from any angle. The only thing I can possibly see happening is roshan getting his wheels and tires back. Bill is never gonna get a muffler out of this and craig is out 250 bucks.
[2 Cents]
I think we all learned a lesson here. #1 in my book IMHO, unless I completely trust the buyer 150% I would NEVER EVER EVER settle for a fraction of the price upfront and the rest later. My grey WS6 is sold under payments to tastyle88 and I trust him 150% that he will pay the rest off. There should have also been a written agreement which me and tastyle88 did as well, for security reasons like this one should've had. The trans situation is obviously wrong, and people in this situation get negative brownie points with other buyers/sellers . Its the buyers fault for not inspecting the tranny thoroughly, and its the sellers fault for not whipping up a written agreement of payment. Agreed with Tim that this should be settled honestly and soon. Im not gonna comment on the wheels/rims/w.e cuz I dont know the full story. Im not taking sides in this situation cuz I dont make enemies, but thats just how I feel and thats my [/2 cents]

the only thing is our deal didn't come about through the classifieds I knew him as a member & met him at one of the boards meets as well as at atco...I knew his car was having issues and his sig on CI said he was selling it. This is just as much about lying, stealing & cheating as it is selling parts or a car which is why I put it where people can see the type of person he is not only in transactions but how he lies to cover up more lies.

Correct me if I am wrong...
Didn't Craig offer to pay back the money you bought it with if you gave him back the trans? I find it hard to believe that someone would buy a transmission with a crack in the bellhousing, and then "woops!!" complain about it later. You should know better than to purchase something like that without inspecting it yourself. You had a fair deal to begin with, but now you complain about it, and then when you have the chance to get your money back, and rid yourself of something of such little or "no use" to you, you don't take it?

i personally see it a little differently then you...
when you buy a used part, you are NEVER guarenteed it to work unless it is exactly that, guaranteed to work by he original owner. i dont know if craig did that but reguardless of whether or not the tranny actually worked is not craig's problem.
i'm sorry man but being in business with my father i personally would rather take a loss then make someone upset. even if i know that person will never buy again from us. its just principle of the matter. what goes around comes around... and as you can see now, it is. you picked a heads/cam install ahead of making a fellow f-bodyer happpy. thats just childish in my opinion, and know your car is cracked up, you are about to lose all that money you stole, and you made many enemies.

It's not that anyone is against you. And that's good that you returned the rims. What I'm getting at is:
1.) It's that you either owe Craig money while you keep the trans, (because if you didn't see any damage when you bought it, and are claiming that the other tranmission shops are the ones responsible for cracking the bellhousing, then that is not Craig's fault, and he should not have to lose money over damage that he DID NOT CAUSE, because you purchased it with no damage, and then when there was damage, it had no longer been in craig's posession at the time)
2.) Or, that you give the tranmission back to craig, and get your money back.
This board is not here to make enemies, it's here as an outlet to share everyone's collective interests, and with that, everyone wants it to be fair and just. We look out for everyone else, and we would look out for you too. I'm sure we can just be glad you said you know you messed up, the only thing left is to rectify the situation in some way or another, which I understand you've already begun to do.

FYI eric is no longer in possession of said tranny since I traded my heads/cam for his car and all associated parts one of which(the tranny) was actually installed on the car. The only recourse for craig would be to settle his debt with eric monetarily...I told craig though if the tranny isnt at least partially salvagable he's more then welcome to it(which i doubt he'd want it at that point)...im still not sure what route I want to go ie auto or manual at this point since if i went back to the auto it might be actually i know it would be more work then just getting the manaul to work.

its not about everyone being against you...I trusted you enough to not screw me...I'm very good friends with craig & I looked the other way in his situation(which i truely regret now) the fact is it was never craigs fault that the tranny broke, cracked, whatever...craig like myself trusted you in good faith & pretty much did the same thing in both situations in craigs you took the merchandise and put a little money out, installed the stuff then were unhappy was the 10 inch long crack craigs fault? No. With me you took my heads/cam, installed it on your car & realized your exhaust was too loud so what did you do, took off your loudmouth & put on the magnaflow...now the magnaflow is messed up from what I understand. If you said in your first post "ok I'll make it right" & contacted Craig, Roshan & myself I probably wouldve had this thread removed or at least posted the update & had it locked until everything was resolved. $250 is not alot of money, Roshans Rims were/are/is in your possession & all you had to do was give them back or make arrangements with him & same with my exhaust. None of us are hard to track down especially if its to get our stuff in order. All Three of us are board members and the last I checked we all have a PM box.

so you are saying you aren't really sure when or by whom the trans was damaged and you still decided not to pay craig?
that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. expecially when you had it at shops that would have seen the physical damage, that you know wasn't there before the install, as soon as the car hit a lift.
the lesson you should be learning from this is that if you don't have a clear and agreed to answer to the opposite, follow through with what you agreed to in the first place.

Holy Jesus guys..
I think its time for everyone to grow up and walk away..
I used to think the same way craig did..untill i got ****ed on the sale of my 89 ta. Long story short i went to court got my money only because i had some proof in writing and offical documents (titles, etc)
In your situation you all look preety foolish to me..
Craig should of never let that trans go untill he had 350 bucks or however much it was IN HIS HAND. If he gave it to him and only had 150..without any kind of WRITTEN agreement..then basicly, hes flat out ****ed. Sucks dude..but unless next time your selling stuff to justin or someone really really close to you..better make sure you collect in full first.
And yeah, on Erics part..deffinitly a gay ass thing to do man. You would think that in a group of enthusiasts you wouldnt **** someone out of their money. Even if the part went bad 20 minutes after you bought it and it was installed perfect..its all apart of the risk you take in buying a used part with no warranty..honestly you dont have to pay craig a dime but unless you wanna be known as the club doushe bag then you should really man up and pay him.
And Bill..it sucks your stuck in the middle man and didnt know about the parts untill after you bought the car but really..you shouldnt of given him the traded parts or taken possession of the vehicle untill you had all of the parts that where included in the deal. The trans, rims muffler..etc...
So like the judges in small claims court say..
The best way for the case to end is with both parties leaving unhappy.
Then, and only then will you learn your lesson.
Write it off and move on..but i bet you wont make the same mistake again.

if you'll read craigs posts he did write it off...he never posted on here about it to my knowledge. I am the one bringing it to light because I think ****ing over 3 people is pretty ******. As far as my situation goes I've pretty much written it off too. Since this site doesnt have a buyer/seller feedback this is how its done. HAHAHAHAHA It is I the one who leant Eric the rims/tires (Roshans)
Now that night Eric kept ranting on and on about not having tires at the track. I lend him, and let it be known LEND him the tires. Then he goes and burns them up with his little videos. Then says to Roshan I gave them to him. Roshan knows that it was BS as I wouldn't give away something that isn't mine. Anyways, everything got settled there sort of. But this guy Eric needs to be watched. He is a lying douche, and should not be trusted. Multiple times he lied to me. Said he had an LS6 intake manifold he had in his garage, and was going to sell it to me for 300. Turns out his buddies told me it was an LS1 intake. Yeh I too almost got owned.
Eric is a little ass kid who can't handle himself as a grown man.

yeah but you told me they were your friends rims/tires & that he borrowed mine to pass inspection because he burnt up those tires, which makes you a liar because the next thing I knew my tires somehow mysteriously were on YOUR TA. You keep trying to defend your actions but you have no base to stand on...you say you sent pm's now a month ago...I know for a fact craig still hasnt seen a dime from you...so if your not going to make an effort to pay him back why post "sent pm's" its not like you owe him some huge amount of money and you have so many bills to pay. You live at home with your parents who think your the one getting ripped off by everyone. Since Im going to the february meet bring a check for craig in his name & I'll give it to him if he cant make it to the meet that will at least clear that end of the debt. Thanks to people like cbrrmike i got a new muffler for the car so I honestly don't need anything from you other then an "Im sorry I lied to everyone about everything my debts have been paid to everyone that is owed & I'll try to be more honest in the future because I do want to live to see 21" Trust me Eric there are alot worse things I couldve done other then post a thread the next person you screw might not be so nice.

You'll find in business and in life sometimes exposing someone or putting the fear of god into them will turn them around. I've never met GMC or have ever done business with him so I don't know if this is the case but maybe being called out here was the motivation he needed.

You'll wake up when you realize that you have no $$ saved towards your future. Been there, done that, could write a book on all the stupid mistakes I made with my money from the time I got my license up until I turned 25. That was when I realized I was fooked. Good thing my wife had saved her $$, or I'd be living in a shack with an outhouse instead of a real house.
And Grandmastercow, I don't know you from a hole in the wall, but that is pretty douche of you to buy something else before settling your debts. The bank would come and take your car away if you decided to spend $$ on mods and then realize at the end of the month you couldn't make your car payment. They wouldn't give a rat's ass to know you dropped 2 seconds from your quarter-mile time with the money you spent; it shoulda been a car payment, period. Get my point?
Time to be more financially responsible.
