View Full Version : Dent Pulling?

I have a bunch of small dents in my car all from retards hitting their doors on the car. Are their any inexpensive ways of pulling the dents without damaging the paint? Its pretty obvious that the "ding king" is probably useless, but what can I do? Can I attempt to reach a hand behind the skin and push out? Or am I stuck to having a shop pull & repaint?
The two most anoying dents are located in the front of the car behind the passenger side head-light (plastic) and one located right smack in the middle of the quarter panel (metal?)

Sure, you can give em a push from inside, you're not gonna make anything worse. The dent king only works on roofs or thin sheet metal where the dent is merely a weak spot pushed inward. An actual dent cannot be pushed back out because during the impact the metal actually gets stretched.

As stated above you cannot just push a dent out due to the stretching of the metal. Even if it looks flat, it's not...you'll see it in the right light and angle. Only correct way to fix it is to bang it out, fill it, and repaint it.

Alex, only way to fix that is by pulling it out, bondo, primer, repaint.

there are places that advertise paintless dent repair. like paul said, it won't be perfect without going through the whole process. you can however get it to look better and save yoruself a bunch of steps if that is all you want for now.
