I am looking for a cheap 350 for my car budget around $400 I realize it wouldnt be the best motor but maybe a rebuilt motor or a motor from a wreck with a few miles on it will do.

since you have a while before you get your license anyway, have you considered looking for a storng block and buiulding?
it will cost more up front, but in the long run if you take the time to build a motor properly you will end up with more power, know it is built right, and have exactly what you want. not to mention the knowledge of how to create a good combination, pick components, and assembling an engine.
just a thought

You can't drive for another 2-3 years, why not save for a nice crate?
