Thats rough. I got "fired" from a job 2 weeks before my wedding. My boss tried to cheat me out of 80 hours of overtime that I had accumulated for my honeymoon over some technicality. When I spoke up to him about it he took it upon himself to get me out of there. One night on my way home he left me a message on my phone (didn't even have the guts to tell me in person) that he had been looking thru my email messages and saw that someone sent me a job proposal because of my resume being on monster. He told me I was "abusing company property" and let me go. I had to take the first job I was offered at a $10k pay cut with a minimum one-year contract. I still haven't recovered. And if I ever see that bastard again....:nutkick:

Wow when I read this I thought by chance the principal in my school posted. She was just canned today. Well, we were told she's on medical leave...but the superintendent is acting principal until they hire someone new.
I was a bizzarre day in this school, where structure is everything (special needs school, children I work with have autism, which, if anyone knows about the disorder, many of those children need to keep strict schedules as a way to maintain order...so now everything is going haywire until we implement new rules and remove old ones).
Btw, sorry to hear. Had this happen to me in early August, cept I hadn't been there long (just a couple months)...it was the best thing to happen in the end. Hopefully it turns out well for you as well.

Sorry to hear that :(
That amount you quoted for PA unemployment..is that a week?
yes, before the taxes come out. it doesn't add up to the $580. weekly take home.,plus i was putting $50. a week in saving for my Daughter & grandson. for 10yrs. and i don't want to use any of it, it's hard enough to save for that rainy day and my daughter now has her own apartment.which i help with. - Justini was a press operator for a pipe fitting company in pa., and building engines, anything that takes use of tools, roofing, fences, really anything. JR1 & Little Man.
wow, that really sucks man. I'm sorry. :(
try finding a job in jersey. you'll get paid more than you would in PA, but you have a lower cost of living.
