Or do F-bodies kick up a lot of dirt? It seems every little pebble you drive over you hear it, especially in the rear wheel wells. IDK, could just be my car. Just an observation I've been making lately.

Nah I get it alot with the gta wheels, hell If I go take a pic of the quarterpanel? you will see all dirt and it was driven around the block once! and it was dry, Do you have wider wheels?

Eh, never seem to notice.
BUT, i have more of a problem with the a/t tires on my truck. Seems every stone i run over gets stuck in the tread, then all I hear is the damn clicking as I'm going down the road. Speed up to like 20 over the speed limit, doesn't fly out. Figure I'll pull it out when I stop.
So I get home and go to remove it, and its on the bottom of the tire so i cant get to it. So, screw it ... ill back the truck up later and do it. Forget about it later, drive somewhere ... hear the clicking....:)

Yeah, they're 17s with P275/40ZRs. When I got the car I had to buy special ramps because the tires are so wide.

Not to mention with the wide tires I get a lot of trough wander too. Any irregularity in the road surface and the car veers off...that's really annoying.
Third gens had mud flaps which helped just a tad, but yea... pewter color ownz cuz mud just dries up and blends into the paint :-D

yea i noticed that when on my 91 i went from the 15x7s to 16x8s. I never felt the crowns in the road untill i went bigger. worst was RT. 130 near willingboro/burlington area. Fighting with the car just to keep it in hte lane.

Totally....And I hear we're suppose to get better lateral stability with wider tires

It's truly amazing how even the quirks make you appreciate the car even more. My Sunfire doesn't give me any problems, but I'm just whatever about it. I guess when you're so into a car, you end up trying to find stuff wrong with it.

when i had the hoosiers on my 91 RS it would sound like someone was trying to sand blast the wheel wells every time i got out of the driveway. eventually i stopped notticing it as much, jsut sorta became back ground noise along with the exhaust rumble :)
