i like the first one better, maybe they could even add some hideaway headlight doors. that'd be cool maybe. Now that i think about it, it would be cool if the camaro had little slide out doors to cover the lights during the day, i know that wont happen but it could be a neat custom mod in the futre.

yeah like that with the doors, but maybe matched to the grille so it looks like on piece when closed, mayeb that will also smooth out the point so its not as pointy

they said the firebird is dead for good, and i doubt they will bring back the firebird or trans am. The camaro is enough for GM to throw into the ring with the challenger and stang, they dont need a look-a-like competing with themselves, thats just my feelings.

That T/A concept looks alot better than the Camaro one. If u ask me i think Chevy should just stick with the vette, n the new GTO i think failed. I mean its a nice car i so want one just to have it but i think Gm should let Pontiac have the T/A back n have chevy just stay with the vette.

pontiac has the solstice to play with, they do need to axe the GTO, whats chevy got.. besides the flagship corvette which will almost never die. hmm maybe chevy should bring back the Nova and try selling it in mexico again, haha.

I agree. If u remember way back to 1967... The Firebird came out later than the Camaro. Hmmm History repeats itself. The shaker hood on that concept is ginormously sexy. Even more sexier than Neons.

Me! I am a pontiac guy to the heart but I would get a marro in a heart beat, but killing the firebird T/A FOR EVER! and having a camaro would KILL me

well, alot of GM big wigs, when asked if the the Firebird was never coming back, responded with "never say never", or "never is a really long time".

i know they are planning soemthing for Pontiac based off the Camaro's chassis, right now it'll probably be the GTO, but things can change.

i love firebirds, but i dont like that concept at all, looks way too much like a camaro. outta the 5th gen concepts id say the camaro takes the cake. that firebird/TA concept looks almost exactly like the camaro, thats what i like about the fourth gens the firebird and camaro look completely different (well compared to the other gens). i say if the bring it back (which i hope they do) they should make it look alot different and make it stand out. i agree they should ditch the GTO, for the ppl that like GTOs, get an old one...

The 4th gen is a good example..you could of bought a badass looking pony car complete with a sexy wrap around wing and a uber sexy ram air hood

I absolutely love the T/A concept, and I like the maro.

on a headlight note, mine have been going in and out over the past year along with 2 of my friends with 4th gen ls1 T/As :( I'm ordering new motors when I get back from deployment.

T/A's look way sexier than the camaro. Always have. I don't think GM ever would, nor should, can the Pontiac division. That T/A concept looks way too much like the camaro. I'm actually disappointed with the new camaro concept. I don't like the grill, and the whole body style in general looks too hefty. It's grazing the lines of the 04 mustang. It just yells: Fat Pony Car. I was hoping it would look a little more sleek. Everything Chevy seems to come out with has that Fat-Futuristic look. I'm not diggin it so much anymore. THe new concept is cool, i just think they could have done a little better.

Nice long ass window. That one looks like crap. The Trans Am decal on the doors looks like that car should be on the short bus.

And by the way. T/As are a lot better that camaros. This was proven in first gens. The T/A perfomance package didnt need to come into existance until 1969. When did the "SS", "RS", "SS/RS". That wat i thought 1968. Chevy needed it just to stay with the FIREBIRD.

I like the Firebird line better than the Camaro.

Having said that, they need to stick with the Camaro concept, make a few asthetic changes to it, and roll that out.

Pontiac needs to stick with the GTO (they really dont need to compete against the Camaro with another Firebird), and hack at the GTO asthetics as well, and continue to market that.

While both cars are considered performance vehicles, and some of the buyers will cross the same demographics, they really are marketed to different people.

I still like the Trans Am concept posted in the first post, but would rather see GM stay on the smart path of going Camaro and GTO, no Firebird.

i like both firebirds and camaros depending on the generations... 4 gen the TA kicks the SS/Z28s ass looks wise, 3rd Gen i think the IROC is the winner, but then again the camaro and the firebird look alot alike in the 3rd gen
