YES!!! thats what i want to hear! i hear horror stories about spec and i wanted to see if anyone else on this board had any prior experience with them. how was clutch feel and such? was the pedal real stiff afterwards?

the clutch was fine for me, previously i was driving my 88 iroc with the s8s and a bad clutch and my SS was fine to drive. towards the end though, last 4-5k miles, at high RPMs the clutch would ebcome VERY sensitive and almost would lock on, weird to explain but somethingto do with the pressure plate spinning, but for around town never gave me a problem, and on top of that, i havent had a clutch return spring in the car since 20k miles, 3 broke so i just gave up and didnt replace it the last time, so that couldnt have been good for clutch wear. When i get my new motor together, i will order another SPEC, but itll be a stage 4 or possibly 5 then.

All I know about spec clutches is that the break in period is a key factor in the clutchs life!

lol after seeing the pace we work at while doing the subframe connectors i think we should stick to small jobs.

i did my clutch myself, very easy, and it was the first time i was ever working under my SS too. I installed it at 10k miles because my ls6 version stock clutch spun the splines inside the clutch disc.
