Camelback group rates (15+ people) for weekends. Week day will be less.
"Flex Time Tickets" Open-to-Close $36.00 8:00am to 10:00pm (vs. $55 non-group rate)
-$20 ski rental, $28 snowboard rental
Night Lift Tickets (4-10pm) $21.00 ($28 non-group)
-$16 night ski rental, $22 night snowboard rental
they have group rates for included lessons and stuff too, but i dont know how many of us need that. I would think that people who can do it could help people who can't.
Shawnee rates
open to close - $30
- $20/$24 rentals
night $20
-$15/$20 rentals
at night it looks like they're pretty much even, but for the whole day shawnee is cheaper. These were all weekend rates, becuase i figured that's probably when we'd go. if anyone wants to throw in another ski area up there, go for it.
I've never been to shawnee, so i can't say which is nicer. I really like camelback, but I'm up for either place.
Now... I did the hard part. Someone pick a date. I'm not sure if friday is considered a weekend, but i'll assume its not. So we have
1/21, 1/22, 1/28, 1/29, 2/4, 2/5, 2/11, 2/12, 2/19, 2/25, 2/26. Since I did the grunt work, 2/18 is out because i wont be able to make it ;).
what about creek?
i've never been to camelback but ive been to shawnee, and its alright i guess, i think i like it more then creek but its pretty far from here...

you have to buy tickets separately, they're usually way cheaper anyways.

if you want creek rates, go get 'em and post them up here. I've never been there or been near there, or known anyone who specifically said they like it, so I didnt put it up.

Shawnee is nice but I think Camelback is better. It just depends how far you guys want to drive.

Camelback is about 15-20 miutes further away. But it's a little bigger and has some better runs.
Colorado is definately worth the ride. I lived there for 13 years. Quickest I made the drive was 25 hrs. driving strait through in the firebird with 2 friends.

would they get kicked out or something? i mean if we go fast on the n00b hills? we'll prolly get stuck teaching njfboa n00bs anyways so it really is the same for me, ill go either way unless the place is too far.

they give you a warning i think then if they catch flying down that tral again they pull your ticket but blue mountain is closer then camelback and shawnee. and yea will prob get stuck teaching people how long you been boarding ive boarding for like 6-7 seasons

haha well you gonna consider me a newb, i've only started this season but i picked it up pretty fast tho. Probably because i already went boarding like 10 times this seasons with not much time in between. So i guess everything is fresh in my memory

Blue Mountain would be closer for Philly and South Jersey but Camelback and Shawnee are definately closer for everyone North and are easier to get to since they are right off of I-80. I think Camaro diva should be able to pick date and location since she did the leg work and got all the info.
Alright Melissa then you pick and make it fast! lol then we'll get a list of people going or some**** and then we can finally go, geez...

try snowboarding its harder to screw up your knees! :D and 25 hours to colorado? thats nothin! ive been to both blue mtn and shawnee, i pretty much forget what shawnees like, i went to blue mtn with my mom and her friend thats like 10 years older then me and she kept screamin at me to stop fallin on while i was boarding, then she tried it like the next week and was like "im so sorry! i didint realize how hard it was!" that shut her up  i guess it is a lot to get used to switchin from skiing to boarding. since we will have alotta noobs id say lets hit up blue mtn, im not that good myself but i could prolly teach ppl the basics

Ok, how is next weekend for everyone. Saturday the 28th. That gives everyone over a week to plan, and personally I like Camelback, its pretty easy to get to. If it works out well, maybe we can choose another place for two weeks later that's closer to other members. I like the idea of an every other week meet at different mountains. Sound good?
