Hey everyone
Lately i have been noticing some belt squel when i really jump on the gas pedal of my car when i go to pass somebody, Which i know is a common problem on LS-1's. So i have been debating about buying the SLP under drive crank pulley because they claim it gets rid of this along with freeing up a few Horsepower and then i was checking out some A.S.P. Pulleys because they come with an additional alt pulley , But i have heard some stories of people's car dyeing while stuck in a traffic jam and ect.. I don't run any aftermarket stereo stuff but do you think this woould still be a problem because i do drive in alot of places that i end up sitting in a lot of none moving traffic, And also what set-up's have been working for you guys without any problems?? Should i go with the SLP or A.S.P. set??

what do you mean by higher belt guide? is this another mode worth doing?

Probably means that the outer lip of the pulley is higher to prevent the belt from sliding off.

Personally, I think underdrive pulleys are a waste of cash. I had the march 3 piece setup of my old LO3, didnt notice a thing. Maybe after all is said and done they may help in the long run, but the 150 dolalrs could have went into something more useful.

And with SLP, I don't know their pulleys compared to ASP, but i always felt SLP over charges an outstanding amount on anything they make....

Yeah i know SLP over charges on alot of stuff then half their price is for their name, but it seems all the other Under drive pulley comanpys don't address the Belt slipage issue with LS-1 motors. I'm not purchasing one with the intention or hopes of gaining any horse power I'm just hoping when i go W.O.T. that i don't hear the belt slip or squeel. And the belt & tension on my car now is good so it isnt that. But a few extra Ponies would be nice if i go with one or the other. Thats why i wanted to hear from a few people with the experiences with them

Dont waste your time or money. Use the 150 for a tune or something, you will get more out of it that way.
Put it twards suspension.
