I took the stripe off earlier today. The color underneath of the stripe is barely noticable. Now I cant wait to get my new stripes.

yeah
i cant imagine my SS without the stripes anymore, i found pics of it when i bought it and looks so plain. you probably feel the same way lookign at your car now. good luck on the new stripes, and maybe have the car detailed/compunded/buffed out and all now so any difference in paint will be reduced even more.

If you ever plan doing any more appearance to it, I think a nice set of wheels & a Ram Air I hood with black bird stripes would look very nice & subtle.

Yeah SmokingSS, it feels so plain not having the stripes on it anymore.
I thought about a new hood but I don't really have that kind of money to spend right now.
I've actually been thinking about going with Black Checkered Stripes instead and getting a black convertible top. My top is starting to go bad, so I will be needing one soon.
I've actually done a really cheesy photoshop job, but heres the general idea... http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=1/1916090050.jpg&s=x12
i think itll look good with black stripes and the black top. have you ever thought about doing clear front directionals?

Yeah, I noticed that it would look better with them too, maybe I will sometime eventually.
