It think this might be the first real, documented JL8 Camaro to go across the stage. It's hard to tell from the pictures if the car is restored or a clean original car. The crossram parts look to be original GM parts so this car could bring some decent money(I sure hope so)!

what a weird combination of options.
JL8(4 wheel power disc), G80(posi rear), ZQ9(4.10 rear gears),M21(close ratio 4spd), N40(power steering),ZQ(full gauges), cross ram intake/cam/carbs all make sense together as a performance piece.
but it also has deluxe seat belts, a rear window defroster, a vinyl top, a speed warning, and an AM/FM radio????
usually cars like this are optioned all the way to one side or the other. this car has a ton of performance stuff and a mish mosh of creature comforts. a rear defroster with no a/c? fold down rear seats without the deluxe interior?
weird car, if it is fully documented it will go for a mint.
the tail pipes are crooked.
and that front bumper is weird. I dont like it.

No AC available with the Z28 until 1973. It does have the deluxe interior too. This is the kind of car where a rich kid was allowed to buy a car and he would basically check off every option he possibly could. I've seen several fully loaded RS/Z28 JL8 cars like this. This car probably stickered close to or over $5000 in 69!

so what did it go for? i was disappointed in the camaros yesterday. a '69 rs/ss only brought 50 and a z/28 only brought 75. very disappointing. it looks like the prices have hit their plateau.

The JL8 car sold for $178K I think and another 69 Z28 with 11K original miles sold for $221K(that includes the 8%)! What plateau?

hey jeff, mine must be worth about 60k by now. Ron

Ron, your car is easily worth $75K. That wrong color Z28 sold for $73K on the first day. I just can't figure it out, but I'm not gonna try either.
By the way, did you guys notice the extra star effect on the reflection of the cars at BJ on tv? Turns out they are using some special filters on the cameras to get that extra glare or star to make things look better on tv. What a joke that is.

I hate when people are like that! what does it cost for a car cover? $150 if my neighbors would have put a car cover on my car it would have been flawless except for the fender.. I so want a firstgen but after the 81 at the meet today Im so getting a second gen!

I know that blue 69 you're talking about Tim. It has a black tailpanel which would mean it's an SS396 if it's original paint. I don't need another project car right now though so I've never stopped.

My good friends ex had a 67 RS, white, and it was just when I was getting into cars. I wanted that thing, and he sold it for 5k.

i think that is a brighter blue than the original. i never took a close look at it. car looks a little ragged from the street and it has been sitting on a lawn, so i am sure there is rust.

Did you just see the Ray Allen LS6 Chevelle conv sell for $1,150,000? I heard it would probably go for around $600-700K so that's a nice increase.

NJSPEEDER

the LSx is being reused for the new engiens for marketing purposes. the old LSx motors were big blocks. most of them are pretty rare options

but she is out of her fuggin mind.
as in she doesn't want to sell or wants too much for it? that JL8 went for 178,200, i just checked their results page. un-freaking-believable. no plateau in sight. i misspoke about those other cars, it seems their origins may be a bit shady.

as in she may want to sell it. she may want $500 for it, she may want $2000 for it. i am not talking about from visit to visit, i mean if you are talking to her the price will change sentence to sentence.
i woudl love to jsut stand in front of her with $500-750 cash and tell her to sign the title. maybe that woudl work. lol

Koll and I were having a discussion over the phone that in some way, BJ is hurting the muscle car market. By people spending 100k or more for these cars can only hurt the sale of other muscle cars out there now. You wont be able to get a decent car anymore!! Its now up to the late model cars to start to step it up.
Did anybody see that 1950 GM Bus?! The owner expected $600,000 and he got $4,500,000 !!!!!!!! Thats farking insane!!!

:werd:
the real shame of it to me is that so many of the people who are buying don't seem to really appreciate the cars. they just see it as some thing that they invested in, will let sit covered in a garage, and then sell in a year or two when they think they can make a profit. the whole time never taking it out and enjoying it or showing it to anyone who would appreciate it.

Exactly Tim. That Baldwin Motion 69 Camaro with the 540ci BBC making 700hp and done by Chip Foose went for over a half a million dollars.
It will never see highway ever. Who drives a half a million dollar car out on a road. ****, some Ferrari's dont cost that much!! These people are getting carried away. That Hemi Polaris that went for half a mill last nigh too...that was just insane.

Actually, the Baldwin Motion car was built by Joel Rosen who did the original Baldwin Motion stuff back in the 60's/70's. Foose had his own car go across the block for around $250K. They are both way overpriced custom cars. There seems to be this need for people to spend ridiculous money on a vehicle just so they can throw a name or statistic at you. Get ready for a flood of overpriced cars to hit Ebay starting this week!
this is why i dont like the BJ auction, its just a bidding war between who's got more money, not the average joe. These guys with all the money should give us some since they dont seem to care what they do with it.
